i think general members cannot choose who can post in their threads...since there is freedom of speech.
however i guess mods can ban or restrict such people who are troubling or abusing in anyway.

No. we moderators also believe in freedom of speech and don't have additional rights to restrict anyone from posting in our threads.

Maybe just name and shame the people you don't want in your thread, when you make the thread. See what happens.

open a thread.....with an enticing discussion and post a list of the folks that you don't want to participate........
