Some serials that are fantastic go un-noticed for whatever reasons.. here are a couple def worth mentioning and def worth watching!
“Beauty Parlour” my Mehreen J, a small 20 min single episode serial with 4 characters and a brief insight into their lives. It was screened in NY and really appreciated.
“Nivala” also by Mehreen J, that was aired recently but was made a long time ago.
A drama called “kalank” also “taboo” an adaptation by Fauzia Saeed (author), that didn’t pass the censorship board..fabulous storyline!
Traffik, stars Talat Hussain.. available both in English and Urdu.
“Bila unwaan” Sania Saeed, Farooq Zameer and many others.. written and directed by Tipu Sultan
“Safaid Raat” Beenish Chohan, Shabbir Rana, Zeeshan Ghaouri, Directed by Syed Ammar jafri.. revoles around a beggar, a faith healer. Classical mix of fiction and reality (must watch!)
