^don't worry i just don"t like it when people want to have the last word because it's quite childish, OP asked me how i wear make up without setting with powder so i replied to her, if i like the way i do it i don't see why anyone has a problem with it
No one has a problem with it but most people find that the makeup looks more finished with a powder. It doesn't mean they are not using the right foundation/concealer to begin with. Properly applied, I've never seen that it looks heavy or accentuates lines.
As an example, Studio Fix powder is a foundation + powder, it's not necessary to finish with a powder. For someone like my mother who has skin that is neither dry or oily, using it solo looks great. My skin is oily, so when I use it, I find it looks better with a dusting of pressed powder on top.
And I don't know any MUA that doesn't use powder to set foundation.
ok the male readers are really enjoying seeing women having a difference of opinion, hug it out gals pleeeeeez :( and get back to putting all of your good makeup knowledge to good use by helping the makeup clueless people like moi :-D, i guess there are some that don't need the powder finish depending on what type of concealer, like maybe the drier concealer types that don't have foundation type of consistency don't need it, not sure we all have different skin types(dry, oily, combo) and different textures, the bb corrector is creamier so for my personal skin texture under my eyes, I do need setting since i noticed it starts to move around and crack on me if i don't dab it with a bit of powder.
then again i have less experience with all this so will try the concealers that cinnamonroll and sweetnsour mentioned to get a perfect one for my skin texture.
I've also read good reviews about the age rewind concealer, laura mercier and the mac moisture one so will definitely try those..i want to try a few others too that i've read reviews on online. i would pay the big amount as long as it's a great fit for me since i'm still testing around for concealers.
would love to hear about what eye creams work for you all for those under eye issues, like fine lines and unevenness in tone......

I don't know if this brand is available outside France but i swear by Biotherm's Multi Recharge eye gel with vitamine E and ginseng.
Not only it helps with puffiness, it hydrates really well and I can see my dark circles are less noticeable (been using it for a year and a half) but it's also an excellent base for concealer
i want to try these concealers out that this latina chic Marlena loves: has anybody tried them out?
words of wisdom by her: :hehe:
*Finding the perfect concealer is like finding the perfect man- you never know when you’re going to find it, and when you do, you hold onto it for life!
* After trying out almost every concealer known to man, I’ve narrowed my favorites down to just 5! Here they are in no particular order… Eve Pearl Salmon Concealerhttp://www.makeupgeek.com/wp-content/uploads/Eve-Pearl-Salmon-Concealer.jpg This concealer is best for under the eyes as it has a gel-like consistency. It doesn’t cake up, yet is pigmented enough to cover the darkest of undereye circles. (The color I have is “tan”) I apply this under my foundation in a thin layer (watch my Flawless Face Video to see how I apply it)
**Price: ** $35 Where to Buy:(Makeup Geek Store) Peter Thomas Roth Un Wrinkle Concealerhttp://www.makeupgeek.com/wp-content/uploads/Peter-Thomas-Roth-Concealer.jpg This concealer is great for brightening up the undereye area! It is super smooth, doesn’t cake up, yet covers really well. Since it doesn’t have that orange/peach color like the Eve Pearl Concealer, it is best applied on top of the foundation just for that extra coverage. If you want to hide blueness under the eyes, go with the Eve Pearl (I use both this and the Salmon Concealer for under the eyes) Price: $35
one thing she says is that the concealer should be a shade darker than the skintone because light attracts attention and dark hides it so that’s why use a shade darker for under the eye, cuz i there’s a marked difference between my skintone and the under eye area but then some others say it should be shade lighter than one’s skintone and then with all the pink, green, yellow concealers my head’s spinning :mudhosh:

the lady at ulta that showed me how the amazing concealer would look on my undereye area said that powdering the concealer isn't necessary and she didn't dab any powder on it after b/c it effects how the texture looks and if you are going to powder on top of the concealer a little goes a long way, a tiny dab if any is what she said.
the lady at sephora that tried the benefit erase paste which was much thicker in consistency did dab powder after...............but i'm thinking it has to do with how the concealer texture/thickness is
lol, what she means is that go a shade darker for under the eyes since that area is darker to begin with and go a shade lighter for blemishes since yellow cancels out redness. For example. I use Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light peach which is darker than my face but it seems almost a lighter under the eye since the peachyness cancels out the darkness. I use a yellower concealer like Laura Mercier Secret Camo in SC-3 or MAC’s Studio Finish Concealer in NC20 to cancel out blemishes etc.
Can you recommend me any good conclear for everyday use, something very easy to put on? I have, an almost finished, BB honey conclear but I feel like trying something different for my very delicate under eye area. Any suggestions?
^Why dont you try a concealer w/ a doe-foot applicator? That way you can just dab and pat it in and not really give it up much thought. It does have to match you well, though. I know MAC, Clinique, Collection 2000 all make one. There is also Maybelline Age Rewind concealer which TiffanyD on youtube raves about.
