under eye makeup

Re: under eye makeup

I meant thick not think sorry , yeah i guess you’re using too much of it, it’s already a very thick consistency, so if your under eye is already sensitive, dry or dehydrated, it just won’t work, if it works for some people then good for them, it doesn’t have to be unanimous. i’ve tried sooo many concealers so i can tell you that the BB corrector is not the best out there. If you still want to use what you already have then apply a very thin layer but NOT right under your eye, apply it slightly below just to conceal the shadows and use something else for the whole area.

You wanted to know what i’m using, at the moment it’s Maybelline’s age rewind eraser concealer (the beige one not the pink one), i’ve heard some people say it’s more a highlighter or corrector than a concealer but i think it covers sooo well, and i have very dark circles these days. Bear in mind that they only have two shades so it might not work for you depending on your skin colour. I also like the Bobbi Brown CONCEALER but only use a little product and always dab. For parties or when i want to look extra polishes, i use Laura Mercier’s Secret Concealer, it’s very thick but very pigmented and very moisturizing so i apply very little product.
Mac’s Select moisturecover concealer is excellent, i’ve recommended it to many people (women and men!) and they loved it.

As for setting the concealer, i’ve never set my concealer, my belief is that if your concealer doesn’t last on its own then you need to change it, just like foundation ! a good concealer should suffice on its own, and i’ve always had fine lines under my eyes since childhood but never had a problem with creasing with the concealers i mentioned, you just have to apply carefully and use a decent amount and always dab and work your concealer in the skin. I’ve used make up for like 10 years and never used a setting powder, even for my foundation but then everyone is different.

What eye cream do you use by the way ?

M, i’ve tried the Garnier roller but it contains a tone of alcohol in it, not so great for the skin
