That is not love. That is lack of a person’s ability to stand up for what they think is right and stand up for their own selves. This is unhealthy obsession.
I don’t think love necessarily means sacrifice and tolerance. It means acceptance, but allows you to disagree AND distance yourself from the other person. You can accept someone and have compassion for them without EVER liking them. That would be true unconditional love - without any conditions attached WHATSOEVER.
There are people in my life that I care about, but don’t like. I don’t hate them. I care about them and their well-being, but don’t want them in my life.
