He drives a 1977 Peugeot 504 and still lives in the house that he enherited from his father 40 years ago. It’s in one of the poorest neighbourhoods in Teheran.

I knew all about this...
Ahmedinajaad makes out that he is one of the "common people" simply risen to the rank of President through courage and determination.
He gives one of his role models as Hazrat Umer Farooq radi Allahu anhu, as well as Imam Ali.
Compared to Pakistani leaders he is a true man of courage, his stance towards the Isreali and American "crusaders" is admirable.
He may not be a perfect leader but I think he is a better leader than most Muslim leaders out there right now and he has been a warrior for what he believes.
I do not totally agree with the Iranian establishment but they are still the outstanding Islamic force in the world today, many times better than the Saudi's.
