This is the first time that the price has ever reached that mark. I understand that in places such as UK the dollar a litre mark is typical. To a Canadian living in Vancouver, these prices are absurd!
I have a few questions:
Do you think the prices will go down? If so, what would need to happen.
What are you guys doing to mitigate the hole these prices are putting in your wallet?
That means I am getting a cycle for myself. I suggest everyone does that too. YOu know Chinese nation is one wisest nation of all.. they knew it's coming, hence the use of cycle in China. No car, no patrol (gas).. ]
I agreee! Seriously, half of the gas used in the world is used by cars and trucks. When you take into consideration the number of SUVs guzzling gas by the gallons, when it is now easy enough to buy cars using 6-8 liters for 100 km (2,4 to 3 gallons for 100 miles) you could see what kind of dent it would make to the world consumption, hence to the price. And i agree..chinese are smarties. I am thinking of starting my own reksha business. ;).
I'm like you, I can't bear bit of responsibility for the actual price.
Yap at the end. They know why desis run these sort of serab bicycles and rekshaw. You know rekshaw would consume alot less gas plus you don't need a person to paddle it..it would run like a car. Man i tell you..market is hot..we should immediately act upon it. How about you start with depositing some money as an investor into my account ;).
True though!. But pollution via fuel and gas consumption through cars are main cause of global warming. I even remember one of our ex-prime minister chretien signed KYOTO agreement. Whatever was gona happen to help our planet. A smart thing to do would be to invest more money into hybrid cars as well as R & D of possible other alternative power sources. That way we could cut down on some of this oil consumption. If automakers concentrate more on making fuel efficient cars, than this would be a big help. Look at the H2 for example, what does that get about 10 miles to the gallon? Who needs to be driving around a tank anyways, because this adds drastically to the demand of oil.
