My husband and I are looking to perform Umrah in May 2016. We are doing research online about the flights and hotels. But for Visa it looks like Saudi gov is requiring us to go through a travel agent. I would prefer to buy flights and hotels online since we can get good deals and we have a wide range of options for hotels and flights.
I am looking to hear from people that have performed Umrah recently and would like to get their suggestions.
Should we get packages from the agents or it is better to buy tickets online and get just visa from the agent?
Also, what are your recommendations for a good travel agency in USA (NY/NJ area)?
Any advice from you guys will be greatly appreciated.
