What is Ummahs stance on terrorism. I know OBL somehow got a fatwa issued, has someone countered the fatwa.
Is there a fatwa to counter a fatwa?
So far in quraan (I am upto Surah 4 verse 160), I havent read anything that says to go kill in the name of religion or a piece of land? so what do the scholars, GS and non GS have to say about that?

I am declaring a fatwa that no more fatwas be issued ever...unless I am issuing them.
The problem is anyone issues a fatwa these days, aray bhai, who are you to issue a fatwa, under what authority.
Killing of innocent people is completely against the spirit of religion as I understand.

In Quran it says that the ultimate test of one’s faith is to do “Qitaal” in God’s way:
Waoqtuloohum haythu thaqiftumoohum waakhrijoohum min haythu akhrajookum waalfitnatu ashaddu mina alqatli wala tuqatiloohum AAinda almasjidi alharami hatta yuqatilookum feehi fain qatalookum faoqtuloohum kathalika jazao alkafireena
2:191 And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith.
Wain nakathoo aymanahum min baAAdi AAahdihim wataAAanoo fee deenikum faqatiloo aimmata alkufri innahum la aymana lahum laAAallahum yantahoona9:12 But if they violate their oaths after their covenant, and taunt you for your Faith,- fight ye the chiefs of Unfaith: for their oaths are nothing to them: that thus they may be restrained.
[indent]Waqatiloohum hatta la takoona fitnatun wayakoona alddeenu kulluhu lillahi faini intahaw fainna Allaha bima yaAAmaloona baseerun8:39 And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah altogether and everywhere; but if they cease, verily Allah doth see all that they do.

Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from thee one who will protect; and raise for us from thee one who will help!” [/indent][/indent]
