Ummah forum

Re: Ummah forum

You may be right.. but atleast some of us are trying to exhibit and spread more tolerance.. someone has to

Though in the end we all are human and we do commit mistakes

Re: Ummah forum

Yes, but it is better than hawai firing when this fabled "ummah" exists as much as Shangri La.

PS It isn't about books, but being a skeptic and challenging concepts or ideas which form the basis of science. Muslims were in this mode pre-mongol invasions, but lost the plot with the mongol invasion and the afghans of the aka turks who took over the caliphate.

Re: Ummah forum

Its all about books.
Mamoon started process which lasted over 200 year, where muslim/nonmulim/arab persians copied books over to arabic. As their knowledge were progressing they were re translating those same books.

If books were not important, why they were so keen to translate them ??? Its your fav. era and your fav. scholars.
Translating like crazies.

Not only that, i thin uptill 1700 or 1800 french madical schools were using translations or arabic scientists.
Again books in action.

So much so, that I dont have to wait for your answer, I know you are wrong about it. :D

Re: Ummah forum

Re: Ummah forum

Most of these other forums are not well moderated. Even if there are moderators, they're doing a poor job of controlling the bullying. Cyber-bullying happens everywhere on the internet. That's why you need rules/regulations and good mods involved in the project, otherwise it's a hodge podge of sheer sadness.

I'm not surprised to hear this. I have yet to see a religious forum where "religious" people act religious.

The irony.
