Why are they all so evil? And we wonder why Islam and Muslims in general are in such a state.

All they do is insult shias or insult each other or insult non Muslims.
That’s all that each thread is about.

I tried to ask a genuine question and just got abuse back.

This is the reason. Instead of commenting against those who are ruining the image of Ummah your comment is degrading/insulting Ummah. Any person who believe in the concept of Ummah would be offended by that and war of words will start.
