Re: umm
In terms of undergraduate student population, the order is:
- U of T (across 3 campuses)
- York
- UBC (across 2 campuses)
Undergraduate enrollments have pretty close for UBC and York as of the last few years.
In terms of total student population, including graduate students, the order is:
- U of T
- UBC
- York
In terms of Campus Size, the order is:
- UBC (main Vancouver campus)
- York
- U of T (across 3 campuses)

Re: umm
Biggest university in terms of students or standard or rankings???
According to rankings, Univesity of Waterloo, UofT, and Mcgill are always on the top.
biggest in ranking??
that doesn’t make sense… and rankings can be based on various criteria.
Generally speaking though, U of T, UBC, McGill, Queens are considered the top Universities across the variety of programs offered.
For science and engineering disciplines, it’s usually U of T, U of Waterloo, McGill and UBC.
For life sciences, it’s U of T, McMaster, McGill and UBC.
For social sciences, it’s U of T, York, McGill, UBC, Queens.
etc.
I think I posted various rankings for Canadian Institutions in the C&A forum a while back.
i was talking about Mcleans ranking, and those are overall rankings, i mean not for particular faculties and stuff.
there ranking was for “best universities in canada” and they have it every year. although i dont agree with their criteria (that keeps on changing)
