Episode 13 ... major tear jerker .... very hard drama to watch. It is very realistic. My heart just breaks ... and I'm so proud of Adil for standing up to his family. I can't believe the audacity of Afreen's parents asking for his rishta. Unbelievable. This people have no shame ....
this is a lesson in EGOs. There was the one line that the father said that if Allah knows something, then he knows it as well. This is what happens when you have an ego bigger than life. You screw up, yet are unable to see the error of your ways.

I know!!! And I wonder why aren't all the others using their brains and thinking that why in the world would they want their daughter to get married to Adil, considering Adil is such a BIG sinner in their eyes. Doesn't that prove anything at all?
^ well since tayee has 'forgiven' him for his 'mistake', then the whole family will follow blindly, yeah? that's the same thing they did in saba's case too. no one dared to question anything she said.
That is what I call a drama!!!
I am LOVING it. I have not read the novel, but what a powerful story. The dialogues are great!
The last drama I really liked was tahir-e-lahoti, but this drama outdoes it.
It is so realistic in every aspect, from the people, dialogues, clothes, makeup (not overdone or heck no makeup at all!), etc.
Sameena Peerzada is such a brilliant and natural actress!
So glad to see Faisal Qureshi after a long time (I know hes in every other drama, but I love his acting in this drama). I now remember why I liked him as an actor in the first place!
i am sure there are people like that, what this drama is depicting is probably true to some extent, of course not THIS dramatic in real life. But i do think it happens, unfortunately.
loved the parallel scenes with saba and the misery in taya tayee's home, makes it easier to watch her scenes now. time for tayyi jaan to pay for her nastiness, just hope they don't drag it too much though.
the US viewers are just a couple of epis behind. I have to catch up since I haven't watched the last couple of episodes. Looks like some VERY interesting developments :)
even sadder that guys like Arfeen exist..so educated..yet still so backwards!
QUOTE=Mehnaz;7230888]I just finished watching episode 12. It was hard to control the tears .... this is soooo wrong on so many levels. Sad there are people like Arfeen's mother who exist in real life.
Another good episode yesterday. This time a parallel between Mahroosh and Saba. Afreen's patheticness is quite evident. Even Seemi Raheel's daughter as Mahroosh is doing pretty well. I wasn't expecting her to act much at all :p
