I saw this dress at this event (launch of ensemble). It was super heavy but not as good as the rest of the items he displayed that night. Then ofcourse, HSY overshadowed im with his new bridal collection that he started with his best friend kiran's wedding. You should check that out too

can someone tell me: is ti possible to get an umar sayeed bridal for 1.75 lakhs? a friend of mine insists her is an original, exquisite umar sayeed, and the work she described seemed to heavy...plus i heard u.sayeed is very expensive. can someone clarify?

^ I very much doubt that. My mother had a formal made by him for 1.5 lakhs last year and that wasn't overly heavy

@sarashahid - I've been to his studio a few times to look at Bridals. 16 lakhs definitely sounds like the sum he would charge for this outfit. Some of his older designs that are heavily embroidered sit in the 10-12 lakh range, and this is no exception. This is an extremely heavily detailed piece - The borders on the duppata are HUGE! I simply adore his designs, but he's pricing everyone out who would like to wear one of his more beautiful joras on their wedding.

That's an insane price. I'd rather buy a car or go on a nice vacation with that kind of money! lol Plus the black jora posted is way too full of kaam - so much so that it really kills the whole look of the piece and it doesn't look classy at all.

His dresses are exquisite but I just don’t understand how prices as high as 16 lakh are justified. Does he use gold thread and diamond kaam or something?! :confused:
