UK University rankings

Can someone post a link which has the entire league table on it-I cant find it any where. Gaurdian has by suibject, but that sucks-I want the entire ranking.

Thanks.

Try the Times.

If you can;t find it, i can tell you the top five from memory

Cambridge
Oxford
London School of Economics
Imperial College
University College London

Wait.......hold the press!

I found the rankings:

OXFORD IS RANKED 1

In your face Cambridge! (trailing at a abysmal no.2)

My (soon to be) Uni is down at 44 or w/e-but at least it was not a former polly. :)

Go times.com.....and go to new university guide. It is better than the Guardian guides. Times has it by subject as well. For me that is more important than actual ranking cos i can see average A Level grades. City for example say they want ABB for Business but you can get in for less. Then again LSE says ABB for History but the average points is 28.5. I personally look subject by subject because different unis are good for different things.
Brunel from what i have heard has good sandwich courses.

Bournemouth Uni.......the best in the world by far!

You've been here then? Yes it is the most fantastic place, especially if you live here.

Brunel mate.

www.brunel.ac.ukwww.brunel.ac.uk

yeah Brunels good too.

I get by ok.

Brunel is a very good uni, but i'm goin to Kingston next year!
good luck everyone! :)

Sept 03 you start yeah?

Obviously the unis some of us are going to/at are not quite in the top flight-but a good degree from a respectable uni in the UK leaves one in good sted for the future in my opinion.

If I was smarter I'd go to a better uni, but Brunel is ok for me.

mo_best, if memory serves me right then you need pretty good grades to get into Brunel too.

brunel is one of the best uni's, thats what i've heard and u do need good grades!

When I was doing my masters from there it was No.1 Uni in Computer science.

BTW, if u want to study Engineering then Brunel is still No.1 but it was/is never No. 1 for Social or Human sciences e.g. for Law & Politics go to Oxford or Cambridge but those Universities are zero in Engineering related subjects.

Kingston is not that great I would rather sugesst going to Westminster instead but over all Kingston is much better than many though.

Now for Computer Science Sunderland is No.1 Uni. Imperial is good but dont blindly go for the ranking - check what ur needs are see what u want to study & also what u want from the university. University might have No. 1 ranking but might not offer what u want to study.

Good luck for ur future studies.

Yeah Brunel is ranked (currently) 10th for Engineering in the country overall, higher from electronic but ower for civil. For the social sciences its far lower, I'm studying Politics at Uni so I geuss for that its lower still. Ah well-it has a decent rep and good employment prospects.

Oxford is ranked 1 for engineering, social sciences, and pretty much most other things too.

Brunel's overal rank is 44 (or sometink like that, may have been 42, perhaps 46)-which puts it in the middle.

Its all good, insha allah a 2:1 or better in 3 yrs time and then a Masters would make me employable.

LSE Acc/Fin programme is tops. City os ok for some finance programs, but you can;t compare City, Ox brooks, Kingston, etc to LSE.

Brunel is pretty ordinary... You cannot compare it to Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial etc...
