Are there any tailors or dressmakers on here who can stitch up some simple bits and pieces.. simple long skirts, little tops etc.?

Preferably in London but otherwise anywhere in the UK, urgently need some stuff made, I already have the fabric so just need things stitched.. please pm me if u can help :slight_smile:

There are many in Green st and Ilford....the ones in Ilford are a bit pricey but their stitching is really good specially Seasons

i can stitch all type of Pakistani dresses, e.g long shirts,Sleek shirts, "A" line shirts all other type of salwar kameez. i can also stitch trousers.

hi huma i m living in glasgow and charges for stitching is depend on what u want tell m how much you are looking for .

I am just about to open a thread about my NEW tailor... I was using one regularly and as he has become more popular his prices have rocketed!!

This guy works from home but does a REALLY good job, im in south east london (croydon area)...

I cant send PM's but am getting pics together on some of his work, i have a pic of a anarkali kalia vala dress he made me and can email these to you...

His charges are:

£13 for shalvar kameez (no zip/piping)
£18 for shalvar kammez (with Zip/piping)
£18 for shalvar kameez with lining (no zip/piping)
£23 for shalvar kameez with lining (with zip/piping)
Dress - £27 (with lining/zip/piping)

For suits with capri/trousers extra £5

He honestly does a really good job, im not getting any commision on this :) just sharing my experience as I know finding a reasonable tailor in london is not the easiest of tasks!!

my charges are

£12 for shalvar kameez (with zip \buttons)
£15 for shalwar kameez (with piping \ lining)
£18 for shalwar kameez (with pipping and lining)

same for suits with capri?trousers

I know a Lady aunty type lives alone in Stockwell orignally from pakistan have heard a lot about her from family in London She is very very cheep aswell as a very fine Taylor worked for She magz and stuff when in Pakistan if you want her number PM me and I will send it ..

Many thanks for that Fudge, have sent u an email :) I have already given my material to sum1 in tooting but will bear in mind for next time as Tooting is a bit inconvinient.

hi reality check all shops r open in green street on sundays.

Guys anyone looking to get a suit made in Tooting do not get it made in a shop called Fusion, i just got my suit back and the guy did a total hackjob of it. I am so gutted i cnt attend the mehndi i got it made for, the shape and stitiching is completely wrong, and what makes it worse is that the guy cannot speak english!!!!

I think i will try the tailor recommended by Fudge. There is a tailor in Prachy in Tooting who is apparently really good, but he charges a lot, i think his minimum is 22 pounds for a simple suit.

Will let u know how the person in recommended by fudge is.

I actually just need a tailor, for my clothes alteration, so i really do not need someone to be stitching clothes from scratch, that is why i was asking if you knew any good one that is around tooting, or if anyone else know a good tailor, around or near that area.

Im sad to hear about your clothes disaster, what did he do wrong ?
