UK soldiers killed in Iraq

Three British soldiers have been killed by a suspected roadside bomb while serving in Iraq, the MoD has confirmed.

The troops, from Task Force Maysan, were attacked in central Amarah early on Saturday morning, a spokesman said.

“Three soldiers have died from injuries sustained in hostile action. We think it was a roadside bomb,” he said.

The BBC’s Joe Floto, in Baghdad, said British soldiers are “convinced they are a popular force” who are keen to get on with Iraqis.

One of the task force’s main duties is carrying out patrols in Warrior armoured vehicles.

Task Force Maysan is based at Camp Abu Naji, just outside Amarah, which has a population of about 300,000 and was the scene of explosive violence last year.

Yeah so popular that the iraqis can’t wait for them to die or leave and instead of showering flower petals they would rather shower the occupiers with bombs thats how popular they are in reality

Re: UK soldiers killed in Iraq

They are occupiers and invaders, who have probably brutalized and/or killed many innocent Iraqi's, so why should we mourn their deaths?
