You can probably use any kind of UK SIM in Pakistan but it's gonna be very expensive. The more economical option would be to buy a local SIM in Pakistan once you are there. They're very cheap.

If you are on contract it 'll be really expensive for you plus who ever contacts you,you 'll get charged for that too. Vodaphone sim changes into Warid network in Pakistan. I 'll suggest you to get a local SIM to use their Pakistan.

exactly...buy a local sim...if your fone doesn't work, buy a set locally for the duration of your visit...just a basic one which i am sure will be so cheap...i've heard that expensive cell fones are dangerous to walk around in Karachi. the fone will attract snatchers and that can be dangerous to you as sometimes this snatching can get violent too...so, be safe and use a cheap kinda fone while you are there.
