The British were also angry when the Gov gave aid to Pakistan. I think the UK should cut aid to both countries especially when times are austere here. The reality is most of India and Pakistan are in poverty, no matter what nuclear they make, have space programmes or whatever.

The point was that because the Indian economy is booming they no longer need the aid. Pakistans economy on the.other hand is stagnant. They may yet stop aid to pak, and there would be a valid argument for that, but the rational would be completely different then in the case of india.
