UK ‘may send more troops to Iraq’
British troops may soon be deployed more widely
Britain is holding talks with its coalition allies about the possibility of sending more soldiers to Iraq.
There are currently 7,500 UK troops on the ground, with Britain commanding a multinational division in the south.
A Ministry of Defence spokeswoman said Britain was discussing “a range of options” with coalition partners.
It follows an announcement that US troops will take control of two Iraqi provinces to help fill the withdrawal of 1,300 Spanish troops.
BBC defence correspondent Paul Adams said more British troops could be deployed outside the south of the country.

Comment:
British soldiers are dying for American cooperate interests, a recent channel four news report revealed that American soldiers were suicidel in Iraq. My question is why do the sons of Briton have to be sacrificed for Haliberton, Shell etc.
