I am not against burqah, for women but at some stages it looks so awkward to have it. Imagine taking your wife for an office party, in burqah.

You sound like the BNP/The Sun/Daily Express who have a field day at this kind of thing, blowing everything out of proportion, a bit of extra cloth for a few minoirty patients is hardly going to strain NHS budgets...
Women don't have to cover infront of doctors who are treating them, if you knew even the basics of Islamic law you'd know that "the pen is lifted in cases of neccesity", even Shari'ah requires women to remove their veil when it is neccesary and unavoidable such as testimony in a court...
You have a serious complex.. Ladies who observe purdah don't go to gender-mixed office parties..
