In Uk people just don’t follow the trends in pakistan…here people are still wearing short kameez and patiala style shalwar…feels so strange to me …as i had recently visited pak and these style are so out of fashion.
I guess jaisa des waisa behs…i personally like to keep up with trends in pak for shalwar kameez.

Thats because its 'UK' Not pakistan.. We keep up-to-date with english clothes Because its the fashion.... Get it?

lol...i get it cos i live Uk myself....and I also follow uk fashion...but for desi clothes I follow pak cos its ahead of uk

I like simple shalwar kameez only. You can wear it regardless of any trend going and you'll still look better and decent than any patyalas and capri wearing women.

yea, like they still havent discovered skinny jeans on the streets of pakistan. Or knee high boots. We don't need to know the latest latest fashion over here coz thats not the mainstream and only look. Unlike pakistan.

Granted, in the UK desi fashion takes a while to get over here however when it does hit the shops you cannot for the life of you escape it!
I too love hearing from my SILs what the fashion is in Pakistan so I can pick and choose what I want to have sewn...but that doesn't mean I go off Pakistani trends al the time. I still loce the stuff I can get in the shops over here.

interesting cuz where I live in the U.S. it seems like they know so much more about the trends in pakistan, even more so than pakistani's. At least as far as my family is concerned(albeit a very small number that lives in pak) they don't know or do any of the latest fashions!

I must say that I am a die hard fan of pakistani fashion. I just love the latest trend from pakistan and try and follow it all the time. Thanks to gupshup, I can now stay in touch

well we got the anarkali frocks before they came to pak we have net clothes here and in pak they r still not available i think the only fashion trend that didnt really kick off here is the capri one simply cos its too cold to be showing half ur legs

Tbh, If im in Pakistan i tend to follow the fashion whilst getting the latest clothes. However if im in Uk and wear shalwaar kameez it doesnt bother me really, I'd rather keep up to date with the english clothes.
I only like to keep up to date with the wedding clothes. If i go to a shaadi i wanna be up to date :)

I don't think you HAVE to follow the fashion ... just wear what you think is nice ... + a decent shalwaar kameez is always in ... :p
