i like uk bhangra tracks but only the ones with a good bass beat. all of bally sagoo's mixes for eg.... many of the rest are all dhan dhana dhan drums and very little or no bass at all.
check out Malkit Singh's "Jind Mahi" to see what i mean. amazing song from the movie Bend it like Bekham. also Jazzy B's "Jindey Sun Jindey" and "Kuri"

Its called sampling and DJs on both sides of the Atlantic do that.
no dude sampling is different. if you insert a beat for a few seconds thats fine. but some desi remixes have snoop dog and dr dre throughout the song, and theyre not even in sync with the original beat.

They are a Punjabi rap group. All lyrics are in punjabi. Ill put more info on that later. I had a chance to get their new album "vich perdesan de".
And I tell ya, its just different. Hadnt heard punjabi rap before. And yah there is not a lot of tumbi/dhol in their sound. But a lot of bass :D
