Oh I didn’t mean wearing them with shorter skirts. I need to wear warm socks during winter if I am just wearing my leather boots or any other shoes for that matter because my feet get really cold otherwise! I was just trying to say that with UGGs you can get away with only wearing sheer stockings and still keep your feet really warm when you’re out.
Yeah exactly! Like I wear UGGs with stockings on my way to work but change into my pumps once I am at work and don’t need to carry an extra pair of socks!
UGG's are NOT anywhere near waterproof! I bought a pair 2 winters ago but had to buy another pair of winter boots as they just could not handle the snow! I now have a pair of Sorel boots, they're pretty good, they are waterproof and keep your feet nice and warm! :)
I have some uggs and they are warm and cosy, but find that bearpaws http://www.bearpawshoes.com/boutique.shtml, are also great.
In fact, i probably wear them more than my uggs!
Btw I would not recommend buying off ebay, as there are loads of fakes being sold as real ones.
Also live in Scotland. I spray my non waterproof boots with some sort of a spray that apparantly makes them a bit more compatible with our wet weather. Seems to work so far.

Uggs are not waterproof, you can use a waterproofing spray on them to make them less susceptible to water and snow damage but I find it doesn’t help much. You need to go for a good quality winter boot. In uni I bought a pair from Aldo that were flat and had fur lining inside and were super comfy. Now I have this pair of north face ones: http://www.thenorthface.com/catalog/sc-gear/womens-hailey-boot.html
They’re the north face hailey boot, waterproof, warm and super comfy. They were like 180 bucks but well worth the investment since i’ve already worn them for 2 winters. You should invest in a good quality brand like North face or Sorel if you want a truly functional winter boot.
Canadian fall/winter is not complete without UGGS. real uggs, aldo one’s are not uggs
I found out couple of weeks ago at a shoe boutique in Guelph that UGGS are not for winter but only fall, it’s not like I needed another pair of uggs; so I came back with the pair of pillow boot instead, this winter should be interesting :hehe:
I live in Canada too and had a pair of uggs last winter and they are definitely not worth it. I actually like the way they look, but they are definitely not waterproof. They are made for fall or beginning winter, not our full blown canadian winters
