bohat dino se nahiN apnay damyaa’N wo shaks
udaas kar k hamiN chal dya kahaN wo shaks

wo jis k naqsh-e-qadam se chiraag jaltey thay
jalay chiraag tu khud bun gaya dhuwaa’N wo shaks

chupa lea jisay paat jhaar k zard patooN ne
abhi talak hai baharooN pe hukmraN wo shaks
