Johny, I am so glad that you don’t need a reason to love Lahore. There is none. It is all in the air my friend.

Karachi is the biggest dump of people who form a que to get on a bus. By the time, they get to the door, the Bus is already at its destination. Comparing Karachi (or any other city in this world) to Lahore is like comparing the temperature on the surface of the Sun to your oven.

Have you ever shoplifted (I mean ReHrilfted) a Mangoe or an Orange while riding in a Riksha? Can you do that in Karachi? I highly doubt it.

Yes, I have. And I've done it with a coke bottle or two.....

And yes, I've done it from a motorbike too.

Na yar, we don't need a rickshaw to steal mangoes, we can climb up on somebodies wall and take Kuchi Ambiyaan (No Chann not those ambiyaan, Roman Stop dreaming). All you need to do is lock the outside gate from out side and get ambiyaan. Suchi Suchi Kachi Ambiyaan.

You don't have to fight to get Ticket from conductor....

Yes, you do - Well, may be in your case flirtation works.

Muzna. But the point is how does the ReHriWala react when you nick an item? In Karachi, he (mainly he)will probably just stand still and will give you a little harmless curse (like, abay ullu kay pathay, bayhuda insan, etc.). But in our Lahore, he will run after the Riksha, cursing the hell out of everyone’s Mom and sisters and would leave his ReHri behind (unattended), while some other people will help themselves with some more mangoes. Now tell me, what is better? Lahore or Karachi? Lahore is a state of mind and Karachi is a mindless state.

Rom Yara. Leave Johny alone. He is unworkable. He has been Karachicized beyond repair. We will have to do something real drastic to put some senses back in to him. He probably forms a que to steal Ambiyan also. He probably devides his loot to his buddies in age order.

channMahi wakes up
Channmahi yawns
poonjhes his giDD, opens his eyes and opens ghupshup

ruko ruko...wait a minute...let me grab a cup of coffee and some cookies........ I want to watch this dangal....

back...

johny yaar how is Sialkot?

People including rehRi walas in Karachi have change with the passage of time. They normally keep a gun aside and petrol in their mouth.

As far as mindless state is concerned, I thought that was a turra of Lahore and people were proud of it coz everything is so planned in Karachi that people tend to compare it with boring life in London.

LOL....I must say I haven't seen such reRhi walay in Karachi....

But my exposure has been very limited....

I want to watch this dangal....

Dangal, yea right...ay dohay ik doojay nooN poliyaaN poliyaaN maar ke vi puchan ge, zor di te nai lag gai yara...ay te laRde vi innay pyaar naal ne,....dangal inhaaN de bus da kam nai....

Yaar NYA.. Any Idea to what will happen if you do the same thing in Pindi? Bare in mind that the Rehri waala is Muree Kohala area and is Muree naa Raja as what they call themselves...

Abhee ishq kay imtiha'n or bhee hain! :)

man you guys are so bad, you loooting that poor reHri wala who's whole day income may less than that Coke key Bottle. Well anyway, I was talking about the differences between Karachi and La Hore. One thing I am pretty much sure about is that you can walk around in Dhuti but can you walk around in Luckhnawi pujama in Lahore. In karachi they have enough sense that they don't wear dhutti when they are driving motorcycle but in other city they rode that motorcycle with Dhutti like they are listing to Quoomi Tarana.

Now NYA yar I am pretty much sure you know why they make queue before they get on something, we are smart Yaar....

Lahore pakistan ka dil hay...a fact that cannot be changed.

AND NYA...do Lahore a favour and stop providing reasons for its greatness. As you yourself said, none is needed.

Lahore and Karachi are very similar in the sense that both are a part of Pakistan and Pakistan would be incomplete without either one of the two great cities.
Btw, if Pakistan has to put up with shoplifters, is it a fault of Pakistan? I don't think so.

Well, nicking coke bottles from truck while riding the bike is young generations idea. I was just joking that I can pull the whole tray of bottles .... and we had a bet .... luckly I won but I decided I'll never pull the tray again. I injured my fingers tips with nails in the wooden tray.

I never nicked a mango from a Rehrri though but stealing mangoes from the bagh in the village was good. I remember once I went to Sahiwaal to see a friend and he went to gardener to keep him busy and we nicked a sack full of mangoes.

Karachi is famous for his night life ... the life in Karachi is entirely different from Lahore but life in Lahore is far much better as compared to Karachi. But people who live in Karachi cant compare the life in Lahore and Karachi ...... so the one who never went to karachi from lahore cant do that either.
