MQ ne ya main ne ?
Re: Uchay Shamlay, PagRiyan aur Patka
No. PagRi and Shamla look good when they are worn and set properly. The one worn by Atif is just bad.
Re: Uchay Shamlay, PagRiyan aur Patka
I agree with TS and just to add, I would say Pagri is still a symbol of respect, honour and nobility if worn right and for a purpose. You must simultaneously execute certain amount of pride and effortlessness to make Pagri look like a part of you. Sadly, Atif looks like a little boy in a costume, the choice of colour and level of volume looks awfully theatrical.

Atif's choice may not be according to his looks, but i don't see younger generation taking pagRi / patka serious as was the case few decades back. We even don't see now that in media. But media is only showing a particular class, that is a separate discussion.
Re: Uchay Shamlay, PagRiyan aur Patka
Well that’s true.
I must admit, I personally feel the attitude towards Pagri is still quite serious in certain Pakhtoon and Baloch communities (I obviously don’t know much about Sindhi culture). But I also think that in urban societies, wearing Pagri is not very practical. I haven’t seen any of young cousins wearing Atif style Pagri on their weddings, but the groom does wear a roughly wrapped Pagri (similar to what Zardari is wearing or the guy in the top right of the second picture) on their mehndi or baraat. It is usually placed on groom’s head in front of a crowd either by mother, father or a grandparent, often a quite emotional moment. There are always some women with tears in their eyes, when the pagri or sehra is being placed on groom’s head.
I would like my groom to wear a Pagri (even a sehra) on our wedding.

Zardari is not not traditional Sindhi groom's outfit. Its white Shalwar Qameez with Ajrak on shoulders and Sindhi topi on head, which is still popular in Sindhi weddings.
Re: Uchay Shamlay, PagRiyan aur Patka
I think Baloch groom also wear all white outfit on their wedding (is Zardari a Baloch tribe by any chance?)

Zardaris are actually Baloch origin, but they have assimilated into local population (adapting their language and traditions) over the period of centuries.
