I am very sorry to say this but Bono have been involved in supporting and promoting the cause of Salman Rushdie for the last several years.He helped him hide and has been quoted as saying that Rushdie is the inspiring person he ever met.Proof just do a google rushdie+bono and you'll see.I dont think he has apologized to the muslims for this unless he does those amongst you who are muslim please re-consider your views on Bono atleast.

Bono also wrote Miss Sarajevo. He also does a lot of humanitarian work, regardless of race, gender or religion. Yeah, let's all hate him for being friends with Rushdie.

I must admit that growing up I liked U2 very much too and that is why this thing saddened me immensely(I found this out in 2000).I still remember how exicted I was when I first got my copy of “Under a blood red sky” and “Wide awake in America” EPs that were very hard to find in pakistan back in the 90s.
But I guess the bottomline is anyone who takes part in blasphemy against our Prophet:saw: does not desrve our admiration.
