True. Waterloo kicks MIT's ass so hard, it ain't even funny.
Guys no need to get pissy. I am sure your community colleges can get you a good job. ![]()
The only thing that you seem to have gotten out of Harvard education is the optimal use of smilies and a bloated ego.
I am getting close, aren’t I? Post your agreement with the nodding smiley.
Bhai mere...look at your response..instead of taking a piss on MIT, which is duly recognized around the world as one of the top engineering institutes, you should maybe keep your trap shut. It is duly perceived as a chip on the shoulder due to underachievement.
You an typecast me however you want. But in the end, you are where you are.
oh and ... :p
Well, this is a list of US schools, and I am sure USNews must have a basis for this, so lets leave it at that.
Now, I have another question. In one of the discussions here, sometime ago, someone posted a news article or something, which suggested that students in India get admission into MIT as a "backup", all the while trying to get into IIT, which is their first choice.
I am curious, if this is just a bit of journalistic freedom used by the writer to pomp up IIT or was it a factual statement, other than the odd anecdotal evidence here and there.

Sambralian, leave this chump alone... Apparently, he does not know that MIT computing people got their a$$es whooped by Waterloo guys, bigtime!!! So much for being Mr. knowitall...
As for me, good to see UofM at 6 (best engr. colleges), thats where Im going to start grad school.
Good to see 4 California schools in top 10 in Engineering: Stanford, Berkeley, Caltech and USC. Im myself a lil surprised to see Caltech down at #7 and USC as high as #8. Waterloo may excell in computing department but it cant beat MIT in all engineering disciplines. Just look at where MIT ranks in specific engr disciplines in the above list. MIT is still the daddy of engineering schools the world over. I would be very much interested in reading the comparison of IIT and MIT and how it is considered as "backup" by the Indian students.
Spock, Ann-Arbor is an excellent choice. All the best :)

5abi, there was a competition in which waterloo students beat the mit ppl... However, I agree MIT as a school is alot better, probably the leader in engineering!! As for IIT students having MIT as their backup, thats total exaggeration, derived from a CBS report.
