Not a single American soldier has surrendered to the Taliban. Where was over 1,000 Pakistani Soldiers have.
Americans are tough soldiers.........I know its hard for you to admit....because a key board warrior like you....who knows absolutely nothing about the military....
Where as my cousin was a Captain in the US Army and both my dad and my uncle have served in the Pakistani Army. So I speak from experience.
The problem is that each time US troops encounter Taliban Nazis... the talbian nazis get their ass kicked and run back into Pakistan.
If only US ground troops can pursue them in there and Pakistan send its troops to block their escape eastward.
They would get wiped out and this menace which is plaguing the world would be eradicated.
These people deserve to DIE!

This war has been imposed on Pakistan, just like Soviet invasion of Afghanistan which put Pakistan in a tough position, eventually you end up with a not-so-friendly choice to make and must jump in for the sake of own survival.
They temporairly do. When they send in ground troops....the taliban run into Pakistan.
Afghanistan is a big country and US has only 30,000 troops there so its hard to secure it geographically.
And don't gloat over US failures in Afghanistan.
Pakistan gains absolutely nothing with the Taliban winning in Afghanistan. They will use it as a spring board to launch attacks into Pakistan.
And Pakistan will be declared a terrorist state.
I'm not gloating over US failures, I'm just laughing how they pass the blame. How they can see Mullah Omar running away on a motorbike in mountains but their choppers/drones were just waiting for him to cross the border.
"the taliban run into Pakistan" is overly exaggerated crap that US can dole out to rest of the world. They can run into Pakistan only if the fight was taking place close to the bordering towns but Taliban control in Afghanistan reaches to the middle of Afghanistan.... how do they manage to run from middle of Afghanistan all the way to Pakistan without getting caught/shot?

and if that is true then it simply means US wants to de stablize pakistan cut it in three and restrict its geography balochistan cut on one side and NWFP on other in mid just sindh and punjab facing india only thus allowing india to control whole region.
reason i m saying that we cant win this untill we have sidelined americans as this has to be shown as our own war and fought on our own terms not US terms, and whenever we push them this kind of news props up from somewhere and offers fuel to our right wing media anchors who start mixing the real issue in if ands or chicken or egg which came first.
this happened before in Lal masjid case they went against govt as soon as US pressure was seen behind final assualt.. they question the people killed in masjid but dont question why 20 or so people were killed outside mosque which prompted operation.
we have just been able to develop consensus and this kind of news stories would ruin it simply.
as for bombing swat first we should ask US what they had achieved in Afghanistan and 70% of it is out of control.
Not sure what makes people think that US cannot attack Swat or will fail if it does that... I think the example of Tora-bora will be enough to get a clear picture of what they can do if they are forced to!
I'm absolutely not in favor of their attack but lets open up our minds. One night full of airstrikes will finish everything in Swat and surroundings. So better safe than sorry.

It needs surgical strikes by teams of special forces....or assassinations of taliban and al qaeda top leaders or continued drone attacks while pakistan army continues to attack them from the rear reducing thier man power reserves
this needs to be followed up with building up infrastrucutre, investing in this area and making the lives of these people better
they have been neglected by our government for far too long and this has been the end result

It needs surgical strikes by teams of special forces....or assassinations of taliban and al qaeda top leaders or continued drone attacks while pakistan army continues to attack them from the rear reducing thier man power reserves

^^drones are just pin prick strikes...while it does kill high level al qaeda and taliban leaders
the drones themselves are not the answer to ending the taliban and al qaeda
a full ground offensive needs to be carried out to eliminate these people and then build up the area's infrastructure,schools,roads,hospitals,etc...to finally weed away the people from this menace
if US was smart they would give Pakistan 10 billion dollars to develop the FATA and NWFP area.
