Is he also going to reveal the "To-Do" list which was given to him when he grabbed the power in Oct 1999 coup? I doubt.

Musharraf by supporting USA in Afghanistan has brought economic prosperity to Pakistan, improved our standing in the world, made us into a non-nato Ally, etc..

Musharraf has been one of our best leaders in Pakistani History

Don't be so sure about all those standings and titles, they are just on piece of papers, as soon as the 'coalition' is done with Pakistan all the titles will be reversed in matter of seconds and all the economy will be facing a free-fall, may Allah swt save us from such situation.

I fail to understand how could we have been bombed back to zero, when we boast of such a good army, air force, & navy. Are they only there to party & booze off, & when national protection is the need of the hour, you just take off your shalwar & ask the US president to come hump us...???

The US was never a friend of Pakistan, & definitely never will be. This just shows, what lengths they are ready to go, if it is in the interest of US population.

you are right that we must trust in God but that doesn't mean a suicidal trust against logic. God has given us minds to use and not using our thought would be rejecting His favor. The Taleban did not reflect Pakistani values and were a bad gamble.

I am glad Hezbolla didn't use that logic.

USA only has interests and outside of NATO has no friends, only interests

Right now it has interests in Pakistan.

Im talking engagement, not wage USA, even our longest range missile cant even touch US soil. But we can surely defend it even if it was US attacking, or using indians to attack us.

I agree. If the Afghans and the Insurgents in Iraq are kicking US terrorist A**, I’m sure the Pakistani army could hold their own.

i agree with some1 here who said our army are a bunch of boozers now adays because when faced with a challenge they back away, and also they r only equipping themselves to handle india, although kargil would sugesst otherwise!

But our economy would be in tatters, most of our cities will be bombed out ruins just like Lebanon and unlike Lebanon, the Arabs are not going to rush to us to help us re-build.

You need to look at the broader picture before you make such statements.

Pakistan could very well resist USA but Pakistan will be wholly destroyed and no one will help us re-build.

The Arabs are only interested in their own people, so who do we look for to help us re-build?

A military's job is to fight any country which attacks its country. Militaries do not fight selectively. Any country attacking Pakistan is an enemy of Pakistan, and it does not matter who they are. Bharat, Amreeka or Nazi children.

What world do you people live in? Pakistan going to war against America would be a colossal failure for us. Just look at how Pak army is struggling in Waziristan and Balochistan, which is supposedly our own country!

And if war comes to Pakistan, this will not be a war like in Afghanistan or Iraq. America would never want to do "nation-building" in a country like Pakistan with a 150 million diverse population. They know that if they cannot do it in Iraq, they would never be able to do it in Pakistan. This will be total war like in WWII since we have nuclear weapons and Americans will try eradicating our entire infrastructure to stop us from using nukes.

That would be the case if countries can afford to spend billions upon billions on their military. But the problem is besides NATO, other militaries are designed to fight selective enemies.

For example, Egypt's Military is solely designed to fight Israel where as Israel's massive fleet of APC (Armored Personnel Carriers) is designed to move troops from multiple battlefields. Israel's Navy is very weak, so its not designed to fight the British Navy or Japanese Navy.

But the likelyhood of Bharat Tanks rolling to Lahore is a lot more realistic than Brazilian Tanks coming into Pakistan so our military structure is designed to deal with the Indian threat although our forces can be deployed in defensive formations to resist other types of invaders but inherently they are designed to fight India

A destructive attack on Pakistan by the US would have been followed by an unstoppable urge by the pseudo-religio-military elements in our society to convert it to a complete civil war. Saudis, Kuwaitis, Indians, and Afghanis would have loved to fuel that war for their own motives.
