U.S. Presidential Primary Watch 2008

Re: U.S. Presidential Primary Watch 2008

The way economy is tanking right now, I doubt an incumbant party candidate (Republican) can win Prez election in Nov '08. Much of the blame for the recession will be borne by Republicans, being in power for the last 8 years.

Hillary scares me. She is too prone to following the polls (with little to show for her own thinking), and is guided too much by special interest and lobbyists. Obama scares me even more with his nonsense positions on crucial foreign policy issues. Edwards is probably the only democrat I hope (against hope) to win; now that Biden has bitten the dust.

McCain has a savvy world view. I doubt he will go all the way. He is too old. He is too liberal. And he is too unstable. Between Guiliani, Romney and Huckabee... all are bad choices. Some very bad.

Sorry thing is that whoever wins in November, will be bad news for Pakistan. As much as we hate Bush Jr, he has given the longest string to Pakistan.
