U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

^^ This is bab bad news for Pakistan...

Republicans are much tolerant of Pakistan than Democracts when it is either AQ Khan, or the tribal truce, etc....

Democracts are much more pro-india than pro-pakistan....

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

And you know what Mercenary, that's not a bad thing. The heat on Pakistan needs to be turned up, Pakistani schools/madrassas that are churning out radicals need to be shutdown. U.S. debt relief and Aid to a country where it's people hate the U.S. is counter to the war on terrorists. I want institutions to be built up in Pakistan, schools, libraries, society welfare but the radical pipeline needs to be cut off and 5 years later it has not been and that is unacceptable.

The funding and support by the ISI to those elements they helped create to battle India for Kashmir are the same ones or at the very least give crossover support to Bin Ladens organizations. The Pakistani virus created to hurt your enemy has gone amok and serious eradication of those who breed the virus is a necessary. Any Pakistani who wants to see growth and development for their country and a better future for their children should not only support such measures but demand them.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

utd

the madrassas were part of the joint US-pak-saudi efforts against russkies in afghanistan. Pakistan was just left with the mess.

I demand a fix to the mess, and while ZNN may not cover it, the fact is that madrasas for the first time have to deal with a specific curriculum. How well they adhere to it and how strongly it is enforced is a question but looking at the wide variance in public education in Pakistan or even in US, there will be gaps and ther will be issues but the right steps are being taken.

lastly people of Pakistan do not hate the US, that is just as accurate a statement as saying americans hate Muslims. While there are people who hate US, they are a small minority. there is a larger group that is not a fan of US policies, but so is the case in UK as well and we dont say that the brits hate US. This anti Pakistan force feeding of media garbage is lopsided.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

whether for altruistic reasons, or for political games, whatever the underlying motivation may be, having some checks ad balances is important. I dont think an all dem or all rep gov is the way to go to have a balanced national agenda right now, a mix is good.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

-utd, Nov 2004.

Now claiming that the Dems will sweep those 4 states in 2008 elections might have been a bit ambitious, that said this weeks U.S. News confirms the shift to Dems.

**A New Map Out West**

**The GOP has ruled the Rockies, but demographics give Democrats new hope**

**Demographics.** With the Democrats trying to pick up 15 seats to take control of the House and six in the Senate, they are looking to the West, where a half-dozen House races and the Montana Senate race could help determine the new lineup. **Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada are the main flash points.** All four states have undergone seismic demographic and political shifts. From 2001 to 2005, Nevada was the nation's fastest-growing state. Arizona was second, Colorado eighth, and New Mexico 16th.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

I hope Decmocrats do not rely on scandals and wrong policies of the Bush Administration to win the elections. They will get their votes but to really win and change course of this country, they need a plan.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

I am using copiers made by diebold corp, its strange but when i copy your statements they come out showing GOP winning. confused

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

4 days to go and a Democrat Tsunami is rushing towards the Republican controlled House. Dozens of races once thought safe for Republicans are up for grabs. Support the regime change.

If faced with any problems on election day call 1-888-DEM-VOTE
Republican intimidation in Democrat strongholds is expected.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

I wouldn't be surprised if Republicans retain both houses. I have a feeling it is all fixed. Kinda paranoid but could be a reality.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

not unlikely..

a surprise GOP victory followed immediately by an invasion of Iran will make the Democrats crawl back into that hole they came out of and continue to vote through all bills on spending and 'supporting our troops' and aggression against Israel's enemies..

more of the same.. while the sheeple continue to think they have a choice with these 'elections'.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

These "elections" will have to do until the caliph returns.

Don't be a hater.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

well they're about as representative of the electorate as a caliphate anyway.

I'm hoping for a strong transition towards nationalistic candidates pretty soon.. much like what's happening in Germany..

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

We've already seen the peak of U.S. nationalism after 9/11 and it quickly faded away. The way the country is setup I don't see nationalistic candidates getting anywhere.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

The one consistant theme to the last few elections is that no one understood the voters until after the election. This has been one of the dirtiest elections I have ever seen, and I think there will be some unpredictable blowback from all the negative ads. I get bombarded daily by mailers, literally fist fulls of stuff. As I sort through it, some of the negative stuff has actually got me going, "Who is running against this guy?", and specifically looking up his opponent to vote against the negative ads.

Down here in Florida there has been a huge issue of illegal immigration, with lots of candidates taking hard stands. The Republicans are running around with ther hair on fire doing their best Lou Dobbs immitation. I think some of this may backfire. Hispanics are a huge voting block, and they may be mobilized in number of states to react against this hate filled agenda. They are the unknown, and we may well find a new power bloc emerging. Of course on a Pakistaini web board no one will really pay much attention to the domestic issue of Hispanic immigrants, but it is a force to be reconed with if this group unites and votes enmasse. The inflamation of the border issue may just do that.
