U.S. dropping more bombs. (Merged)

U.S. fired some 7 missiles again in Wazirstan.

Why were we celebrating defense day on Sept 6?
Whats the point we can’t protect ourselves and we refuse
to stand up to our new masters. Our master keeps paying us
money to allow them to kill our own people. Wake the hell up.

U.S. dropping more bombs

I am grateful to Allah for giving Muslims of India a place where we can practice our religion and rest our bones, without being discriminated against by a Hindu majority. So I celebrate. I am embarrassed infront of Allah for being a citizen of a place where Hindus, sikhs, Christians, Ahmedis, atheists, Shias etc all have to feel discriminated by the tyrrany of the followers of a radical sharia. If we dont like the tyranny of the west, then we must stop the radical's tyranny in the east. Duniya may Der hay andhair nahi hay. Ishara kafi ast?

** Suspected US missile strike in Pakistan kills 9**

By ISHTIAQ MAHSUD, Associated Press Writer *1 hour, 47 minutes ago*

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan - Missiles from a suspected U.S. drone aircraft struck a house and seminary linked to a key Taliban commander on Monday, killing at least nine people, officials and witnesses said.

The explosions occurred in a village in North Waziristan, a militant stronghold in Pakistan's northwestern wild tribal belt and a possible hiding place for Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahri.
A Pakistani intelligence official, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of his job, said three suspected foreign militants and two children were among the dead in what appeared to be part of a stepped-up U.S. campaign against militant havens in Pakistan's tribal areas along the border with Afghanistan.
The targets were linked to Jalaluddin Haqqani, a veteran of the jihad against Soviet troops in Afghanistan in the 1980s who American commanders count among their most dangerous foes.
Haqqani and his son, Siraj, have been linked to attacks this year including an attempt to kill Afghan President Hamid Karzai and a bold attack on a luxury hotel in Kabul. Haqqani network operatives plague U.S. forces in Afghanistan's eastern Khost province with ambushes and roadside bombs.
Reports varied on casualties in Monday's attack in northwestern Pakistan. The intelligence official said 12 people died — three suspected foreign militants, two local men, four women and three children — when several missiles hit the seminary and adjacent houses in the village of Dande Darba Khel.
Another 15 people — mostly women and children — were injured, he said, citing informers.
A second Pakistani intelligence official gave a similar account.
Neither identified the victims further.
Rehman Uddin, a Taliban militant who said he was at the scene, said 20 people died and 18 were injured.
"Some of our brothers were killed, but most are women and children," Uddin told The Associated Press by telephone.
One of the homes hit belonged to Siraj Haqqani, but neither he nor his father had been there at the time, Uddin said.

Pakistani troops had raided the seminary at least three times in the past.
Maj. Murad Khan, an army spokesman, confirmed only that blasts had occurred in Dande Darba Khel and that a dozen people were injured. He said the cause of the explosions was under investigation.
Bakht Niaz told the AP by phone that he and several other shopkeepers saw two Predator drones flying over the area before several explosions around 10 a.m.
"We got out of our shops and ran for safety," Niaz said.
Abdur Rahim, a local resident, said he saw militants who refused to let him and others to approach the scene, even to help, remove nine bodies from the destroyed houses near the seminary.
Injured women and children were loaded into pickup trucks and driven toward nearby Miran Shah, the region's main town, Rahim said.
The U.S. has pushed Pakistan to crack down on insurgents, warning that they are using pockets of the northwest as safe havens from which to plan attacks on American and NATO forces in neighboring Afghanistan.
A U.S.-led ground assault last week in the South Waziristan region prompted sharp protests from Islamabad and heightened speculation that Washington has given a green light for more aggressive cross-border strikes. Several recent missile attacks in the tribal belt have been attributed to U.S. forces.
Asif Ali Zardari, who won Pakistan's presidential election on Saturday, has vowed to be tough on militancy. However, many Pakistanis blame their country's close alliance with Washington for fanning the violence.
A suicide car bomber killed 35 people near the northwestern city of Peshawar during Saturday's voting.
On Monday, officials said they had arrested a youth wearing a suicide jacket in Nowshera, 30 miles east of Peshawar. The army said two soldiers seized the bomber before he could attack a security forces convoy.
Taliban militants have claimed responsibility for a string of suicide blasts and said they were revenge for ongoing Pakistani military operations in the northwest.
The army said Monday that it killed 10 militants in an overnight operation in the restive Swat valley.
It said the clash began when militants attacked soldiers with hand grenades, wounding two. Troops responded with firing mortars, rockets and artillery at militant positions.

Associated Press writers Zarar Khan, Asif Shahzad and Stephen Graham contributed to this report from Islamabad.

Re: Miran sha: Amreeka strikes again::20 dead

It's all part of the army plan....let the people get fed up with the elected governments and invite the army back into power.....just like musharraff did with nawaz.

I wouldn't be surprised if the pakistani army actually encouraging the taliban in the border regions so that NATO gets frustrated and attacks targets in pakistan.

Re: Miran sha: Amreeka strikes again::20 dead

interesting perspective.

Realistically what can Pakistan do?

We are grossly reliant on US financial assistance at this time. Our economy is crumbling around us, excessive expenditure...its a huge mess. We cant afford to resist America, we should morally be outraged and if Pak was capable of taking a stand it would.

Think with your heads and not your hearts. Pakistan is pathetically weak vis-a-vis the USA, we should look at formalizing our existence as a 51st province, it may even bring economic benefits.

The alternative theory is this. PA sits back, USA attacks, militant anger switches away from PA and focuses across the border. End result, PA doesnt suffer the blowback.

Accept it guys, we are a failed state. Govt cant control its territory, nor can it stop another from hitting Pakistan at will.

Time for Union with India methinks. :(

Re: U.S. dropping more bombs. (Merged)

Spain told U.S. to stick it, a lot of other countries have.

If the only way for Pakistan to survive is act like a slave
they why not just stand up to the U.S.

How is Bangladesh better off then Pakistan now?
Bangladesh doesn't get billions of dollars of aid from the U.S.

After Israel, Egypt gets teh second largest aid from the U.S. but
Egypt is just another extended piece of territory of the U.S. It's not
a prosperous country.

Spain doesnt have Osama bin laden running around with a huge number of radical followers of Shria style Islam trying to establish a nuclear armed Caliphate in which non Muslims are dhimmis and women have no rights, protecting him in the hills of Pyrenees.

Our geopolitical situation is very different than that of Spain. This is why The USA told Musharraf you are either with us or against us. The Americans were not engaged in some Sauda Bazi. The terms were not negotiable. Mushy got it and did what he could. To those who thought he was too soft, I say, good luck, these bombs are just the beginning.

As far as the US is concerned, we have to openly declare that radical followers of Islamic sharia (who discriminate against women and non Sharia style Muslims) are misguided. We have to fight and defeat them and surrender OBL to the USA. If we cannot deliver this as a nation then the USA doesnt see any right for a nuclear armed Pakistan to exist. Which means the US doesnt exclude the use nuclear weapons against Pakistan. Although, I doubt they will actually use the nuclear option. If we dont cooperate, the USA will first take out all our bridges, dams and roads. So we will be back in the stone age. Then they will take out our ammunition supply depots, so the army will be unable to defend us. Then they will probably demand we surrender the nuclear weapon. After we do that, the Indian Army will be asked to step in and mop up.

^ wait till Pakistan's nukes are nuetered (God forbid) all this war against terror will lose its steam and Taliban/AlQaida will retreat back to Afghan caves.

Re: U.S. dropping more bombs. (Merged)

i think calls for the pakistan army to retaliate militarily are a bit dangerous at this stage. the immediate response should be talks at the political level.

it'd be nice to have the pakistan army's view of american intentions in the region to be able to make a proper judgement of the situation and thus future strategy.
