Re: U.S.: Bin Laden likely has safe haven in Pakistan

OBL is not in Pakistan...

We have 80,000 troops deployed on the border areas

where as the coalition forces and afghan forces only have 5,000 troops deployed on the border areas and the rest of the forces are in the south battling the taliban remnants....

Pakistan has done its job in sealing the border

The problem lies with the Afghan side, because Bush decided to invade Iraq and so there arent enough US troops to seal off the Afghan border....

Re: U.S.: Bin Laden likely has safe haven in Pakistan

Is he even alive?

Re: U.S.: Bin Laden likely has safe haven in Pakistan

well he released an audio tape and which mentioned current news events

so i think he is alive

Re: U.S.: Bin Laden likely has safe haven in Pakistan

did he ever even exist??

here comes the start of Pakistan bashing from the so-called-ally.

Re: U.S.: Bin Laden likely has safe haven in Pakistan

May be! May be not!

Yeah sure! But Haji Mardan Khan types are still roaming around Pak areas. That is the $hite that hurts Pakistan.

I do understand Pak army's predicament. They have to let this tribal-talibanic bearded-bird-flu run its course, or "carpet bomb" the area.

I say we have a third choice. We ought to move 80,000 of our troops out of Wazirastan and put them in Afghanistan (on Western side of Durand line). This will help us do many things.

  1. We'll stop Talibanic going form Wazirastan to Afghanistan.
  2. We can carpet bomb the Afghan area if we want to. Heck Americans did that in Tora bora so we can do it too. *3. The cancer is in Afghanistan. Unless we go in and perform "surgical operations" using our 80,000 troops / doctors, the Afghan disease won't be cured. *
