UNITED NATIONS - The U.N. Security Council unanimously approved a resolution Saturday imposing sanctions against Iran for refusing to suspend uranium enrichment, culminating two months of negotiations aimed at pressuring Tehran to clarify its nuclear ambitions.
The resolution orders all countries to ban the supply of specified materials and technology that could contribute to Iran’s nuclear and missile programs. It also imposes an asset freeze on key companies and people in the country’s nuclear and missile programs named on a U.N. list.
If Iran refuses to comply, the resolution warns Iran that the council will adopt further nonmilitary sanctions.

The Iraqi resistance has broken the back of the neo cons, two years ago it would have been pictures from the accurate satellites pinpointing accurately WMD’s in Iran and a report by the British Intelligence on how Iran could wipe the world in 30 minutes. Now all that has gone, bruised and beaten neo cons are saying please comply with our humble request or we will apply further sanctions. Time for Iran to say “Bring them on”.

Iraq wasn't mighty either but it is the marines of the all mighty and powerful who want to run from there not the puny and powerless Iraqi's. I am sure there is a lesson in there for the mighty one .
Iran would want the marines to brought on, that is if they need more lessons in how to lose a war.

so death, destruction & mass murder was a pre-planned strategy by the gr8 US of terrorist.not surprising when you look at the names of the people involved…each n every1 of them put the gr8 satan to the shame…a documentary about this was shown on CBC 1-2years ago n how USA wanted to have a HUGE event/incident to show its might to the world n reclaim its glory as the ONLY SUPER POWER.i guess 3000+ bodybags do make its glory stand out n hopefully it will only go up in the near n distant future…:k:

doesn't come as a surprise.. Iran recently announced switching entirely to
Euros for trading their oil.. pretty much like Saddam did before resolutions were thrown at him.. seems like de ja vu

erm the russian deal with iran on nukes is exempt, pretty kewl sanctions eh?
nevertheless iran has been used to sanctions for the past decades, its only ever come out much stronger. Secondly, the UN resolution would have slightly more credibilty, if they’d used the same set of rules on all countries. Having one rule for one nation and another set of rules for another to follow, kinda makes them a laughing stock more than anything else. You can pretty much see whose pulling those strings. :halo:

U.S. excels at occupying a 3rd world country and that also due to superiority of its armament rather than the bravery of its soldiers but finds it cannot win the war, reference, Vietnam, Lebanon, Somalia and now Afghanistan and Iraq.
