Nice pics Sweetlady! I totally agree with Khatti! Don’t ever feel the need to give an “explanation” for why you wedding was done a certain way. I know several couples who had very fancy weddings…yet now are unhappy in their marriage (1 actually ended up divorced right before their 1st anniversary!). So yea…the ONLY thing you need to stay focused on is your relationship with your husband.

But if it makes you feel any better…my wedding was also simple by the typical standards. Due to “issues”, I only had the ceremony/reception (1 day). I didn’t wear any jhoomer or nath. I convinced hubby to wear a sherwani for the 15-20 minute civil ceremony…but for the main reception, hubby (along with both of our dad’s and other male guests)…all wore suits.

I also didn’t had a walima…instead of a walima we went for a 4week holliday to Thailand, Malaysia, Dubay and Turkey
