My hubby didn’t wanted to wear a shervani…and due to fam circumstances we couldn’t have a matching suit…
I do know that a lot of you would wonder why he is dressed so simple…but okay do respect the cirumstances

Dont quote plz
Even though we had a simple wedding…me and my hubby were really glad to tie the knot and hmdl 1.5 years later…we r still deeply in love as we were before the wedding
Everything looks lovely! Your dress is very pretty. And why the need to excuse the simplicity?!? All that matters is that you, your husband and respective families were pleased with the outcome. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is the sanctity of the nikkah, and that you and your husband and happy. Bus. The laahkon ke ruppay/dollars spent on stage set up, lighting, flowers, clothing etc is not what makes a wedding. It's the smile and radiance on your face!
And btw, my husband wore a plain, raw silk kurta (like most men wear to Eid namaz!) shalwar at our wedding. He did not want a sherwani at all! It was very simple, but who cares? He was comfortable, and that's all that matters!
very nice MASHALLAH ...one thing i would say its really good that u choose simplicty over that showoff things and by that ALLAH bless u with happy married life MASHALLAH :)
love yur dress MASHALLAH its really nice :) could u plz tell me that combination of your dress?
Nice pics Sweetlady! I totally agree with Khatti! Don't ever feel the need to give an "explanation" for why you wedding was done a certain way. I know several couples who had very fancy weddings.....yet now are unhappy in their marriage (1 actually ended up divorced right before their 1st anniversary!). So yea.....the ONLY thing you need to stay focused on is your relationship with your husband. :)
But if it makes you feel any better....my wedding was also simple by the typical standards. Due to "issues", I only had the ceremony/reception (1 day). I didn't wear any jhoomer or nath. I convinced hubby to wear a sherwani for the 15-20 minute civil ceremony.....but for the main reception, hubby (along with both of our dad's and other male guests)....all wore suits. :)
