hehe ajnabee ill try that next time.....over the course of just a month i have been stopped three times already....they're usually around the 34th street/penn station and manhattan mall area....
Shweet I find em in my school all the time. I even got stopped whenI was wearing hijab One time, a guy was talking to me for a half hour and when he asked for my credit card and I told him i dint hav one, he was just quiet and got up and left… bichara
Isn't it haram to charge interest? Wouldn't it be pretty difficult to go through life here (or in pak?) wihtout dealing wiht interest, like getting a car or house or sumthin?
It happend to me in my first year of college, some numbnut approached me with the same 'great deal'...i let him blabber on and then gave him the nastiest look and walked away.
Hahaha, someone came up to me and my friend outside of the Eaton Centre with a similar dialogue. He had actual flyers from a salon that was just down the street, but was dressed like a school kid. Very unprofessional … and obviously, we didn’t buy into it. He was annoyed cause after talking to us for a good few minutes, we just walked away. It is a huge con, don’t believe it. They just want a copy of your credit card information.
haha yeah, i got stopped by one of these guys at the uni when I was a freshman. I had this superbly cute haircut, kinda looked like my avatar...
Anyway, the guy stopped me and asked me something similar...then by and by he asked where I got the beautiful cut from, and I said haircuttery...and he was like "what's that?"...
he was an "expensive salon" "stylist"
I was like its a salon...he asked how much it was done for...i said 11 bucks...
he was like :o
I was like yep, you heard me.
The guy's offer was like 50 or 60 dollars for a haircut alone.
I would NEVER give give out credit card info., OR even other personal info. like name, address, phone #s, SSN etc. to anyone on the street, online, or over the phone no matter how "great" the deal was or how "professional" it seems. There are too many scams and identy thefts going on these days to take that chance.
The way I look at it is that nothing in this world is free.....one way or another, they're gonna make money....and one way or another you WILL end up paying. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Me and my friends got stopped at dinner by a lady who wanted to sell us a akeover and photo shoot package for 50 quid for 3 people. I made excuses and left. She got them to buy. Anyways, i thought they'd been hard done by till.....
They went to the studio and came back with 100 pics each ..top notch pics i add, all posing shosing and had a great day out.
shweetdreamz > You may want to go to the salon and tell them about the person who approached you and ask them if they really do have a promotion going on through another company.
actualy this happened to my sister and one of my cousins..at two different places and salons...one in woodbridge, the other in richmond hill..but this time they asked for cash...it was a really good deal..the works...it was a grand opening at those salons..anywyas, my sister and cousin both ended up buying those deals, paid in cash, adn went to the salon...no problems! they both looked great, and i was so jealous!!!! i told them the next time let me know.. i woudl love to do it....
I had a few ladies approach me and my friend a couple of times; I rather go to the salon than give some stranger on the street my credit card. One of my coworker bought the coupon and said it was worth it, it depends I guess, some are real and some are scams. Be careful if you're gonna buy it.
