Re: u dont like inlaws side dress

A. u will wear them once for in-laws sake, just for the sake of respect and manners!

You got dresses from inlaws so many years after marriage now ?

Re: u dont like inlaws side dress

just wear them once at least.

Re: u dont like inlaws side dress

Say thank you but probably won't wear them.

Re: u dont like inlaws side dress

Assuming that MIL is also attending the wedding and the wedding is of someone from their family…I'd go with A.

Re: u dont like inlaws side dress

A

Realistically speaking though many people these days consult with the bride before making the purchase. So if you don't like something, make it known before it gets to the point of no return.

Re: u dont like inlaws side dress

OP is married and had a child. Given that she wrote about not wearing the dress again in A…..I think she's talking about in-laws giving her outfits to wear at OTHER people's weddings as a guest.

Re: u dont like inlaws side dress

Oh, okay. We should have mini-profiles for people indicating their gender, marital status, and age group.

Re: u dont like inlaws side dress

People can indicate all that in their profiles already.

Re: u dont like inlaws side dress

Really? Marital status and age group?

All I see is that you’re male and you joined in 2008 so you are (6 years + the age one starts using computers … another 6ish so … ) at least 12 years old. :cb:

Re: u dont like inlaws side dress

Ah right. People can add their own age but sure adding the sections shouldn’t be hard! Will add this to the to-do list!

Re: u dont like inlaws side dress

I've gotten clothes from my in-laws that I would never have picked out for myself had I gone shopping with them.

But they're gifts...and I wore them to make MIL happy.

If your MIL's son is good to you why would you do something to make the relationship sour between her and you?

Re: u dont like inlaws side dress

Op, if you're not crazy about the clothes you got....you can experiment with jewelry, hairstyles and makeup to create and overall look that compliments your clothes and makes everything come together nicely.

Don't follow option B. You would be upset/hurt /embarrassed if someone told you that they didn't like the gift you gave them. Don't risk straining the relationship.

Option C: What would happen if your in-laws found out that you gave the clothes to the servants? That would get you in trouble. It is good to give clothes and other things to the servants as sadaqa.....but don't give away your clothes too soon. Keep them for some time and then you can give it to them at a later point.

Re: u dont like inlaws side dress

D. You wear them and tell your friends and friends of your MIL at wedding, what a terrible tase your MIL has and you are only wearing to avoid her wrath.

Re: u dont like inlaws side dress

A.. unless they're particularly hideous or don't fit..
