HAHA, true. I worked on the day of my wedding, in my IT world. But only because I was so nervous and anxious, I just wanted to be out of the house where there were too many damn people getting things ready.
I told my friends to take care of things and the last minute details and that I would show up for the wedding.
It was a madhouse and everything was irritating me.

I was the same way. I hadn't seen a desi wedding before. When the day came, I was ticked off by all these people being in my face. I had a pissed off face all through out. At one point, which I later learned that it's part of the 'ceremonies', bride's sister sat infront of me with a ladoo. When I opened my mouth to take a bit off it a friend of her's sitting behind her gave a good push just when I was reaching forward. All of the laddo went in my mouth and I couldn't chew. I did not eat sweets, did not like them, so with a mouth full of ladoo and not being able to swallow nor spit it out, I motioned for a glass of water and washed that ladoo down with water.
It was around 8-10 years later when I went to a wedding and saw some of the things which I hadn't before. Now I am comfortable and enjoy them.
