Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

As far as I know, Iran hasn't attacked Israel ever; but I keep reading news every week that it's president threatens to wipe Isreal off. That's so stupid of a country's president when he has past evidence that such statements can result in an Israeli retaliation and he won't be able to defend. If I were Iran's president, I'd work on my nuclear ambitions without making provocative statements.

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

Yes, I agree. Israel has done so,,,, and I said that they may again do so...
Though guppies should look at blabbering of President of a Nation against sources by a unknows / just quoted Israel officer.
Since its probable that Israel may do so to safe guard its interests,
The journalist may have written this in coffee shop sitting alone, knowing that its a possible scenario.

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

Well this particular is a statement from some "officer" but in past there have been statements from some higher ups (don't have news/links handy). So who is more "credible" the one who keeps saying "I'll beat you" but never really hits or the one who says "I'll beat you" and also beats sometimes?... who are you more likely to believe? who is more of a threat"?

Just like that Iran has its own interests to safeguard i.e. deterrent of invasion :)

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

Just because Iran hasn't attacked Israel directly doesn't mean it does not intend to do so. It uses Hezbollah and Hamas to attack Israel, it trains terrorists to conduct bombing campaign against Jews in Argentina, USA and South Africa.

Iran is an existential threat to Israel.

Every speech made by the Ahmedinijad he has openly stated to wiping Israel off the map, etc...

Saying that historically Iran has never attacked Israel so it will not in the future is like an American saying on December 6, 1941, Japan will never attack USA because it has never done so before. And we all know what happened on December 7, 1941

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

Captain, Isarel may be the only nation in modern history except World Wars, that;s been attacked by coaliation of countries. Hence if I am Isarel, I will be paranoid.
My contention is simple, you can't give weightage to a report that talks doesn't have any source to it... Author of that article is playing exactly on the sentiments echoed by you above...
We can discuss whether Israel will do it or not but can't say that Isarel said that they will hit Iran......... based on this report.....

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

I hope you have not forgotten Afghanistan :)

I agreed to that above, this is like Waheed Khan writing cricket articles :D

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

A bit more of the Islamic duplicity. Apparently what's good for the goose is not good for the gander. Why then blame Israel for killings by their supposed proxy in Lebanon?
Some unnamed Israeli source says something, and the Islamic world gets their panties in a knot. When president Nutjob talks about taking Israel off the map, Muslims scream freedom of speech, forget there is no "freedom of speech" in Iran.
So, why the duplicity fellas? Why can't Israel say it'll take Iran off the map? What is happening to freedom of speech?

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

The problem is not about what Israel says, the problem here is the difference in the reaction of the west.
PS - I am not taking any side, because I do not think either is trying for peace.

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

Well, aside from the points previously discussed, such as the reliability of an "un-named source" being published in the Pakistan Times, I doublt this is really a viable alternative.

First, the use of missles is not really viable. Most of the Israeli missles do not have the penetrating power of bunker buster bombs. Second, if this report is true, then it may simply be Isreal planting a story to keep Iran warned, and to keep them off balance. The only way Israel destroys Irans nuclear program is with large scale air strikes. They would only do this if they are convinced that 1) the rest of the world does not have will to confront Iran and 2) The US has decided not to attack.

A far more likely scenario is that the US would attack, Iran would retaliate against Israel, and the Isrealis would shoot missles. It should be noted that Irans' missles are very crude in comparison. They are designed for nuclear delivery and have an accuracy measured in Kilometers. The Israeli missles have a accuracy measured in meters, meaning that relatively precise stikes are possible. My guess is that Israel would aim at Iranian Oil refineries and cripple their economy. Very few casualties, but devastating effects. It would force Iran to keep pumping unrefined oil, and to keep Hormuz clear, or they would strangle faster than the rest of the world.

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

Really?? and USA’s hands are very stable? says who?? USA themselves right  USA is the only moronic country in HISTORY of this world which has used nuclear bomb to destroy a whole nation (Japan). And it is very likely that they will do it again to kill thousand of innocent people like they did with Japan. So lets discuss the ODDS of having stable hand over nuclear power.
Looking at the past history of USA, I believe that USA is the last country who should have any nuclear power whatsoever. They are most dangerous and most physcho people who are ready to drop bombs on innocent people.
Please define wrong hands??? USA has the most wrong hands thus far looking at the statistics that how many people they have killed.

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

Pakistani journalists are well-known for their googling capabilities :cb: . The Daily Times is no tabloid though, it publishes factually correct articles. Perhaps you should partake more of the Pakistan press to get an understanding of which ones are accurate and which are not? (PS: In case you learn urdu, stay away from Nawa-i-Waqt. Unless you want to laugh)

But here’s the article that he based it on, written directly by UPI’s editor in chief.

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

Jihad ‘tsunami’ approaching?

Also on a side note could the mod explain what the ‘Typical Israel mentality’ is?

Former Israel military Intelligence chief warns of jihad 'tsunami'.

Former Military Intelligence chief Aharon Ze'evi warned Monday morning of an impending world jihad "tsunami" that he said may soon descend on the entire Middle East.

Ze'evi, speaking at a Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies conference in Tel Aviv University, said that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinijad has been overheard promising the "end of history in two or three years."

Ze'evi recommended that the Iranian threats be taken seriously, saying that Tehran will soon have nuclear warhead compatible surface-to-surface missiles with a range of 5,000 kilometers, putting Europe within striking distance.

Ze'evi also warned that Israel should not rule out the possibility of a conventional war against Islamic militants.

Ze'evi said he foresees this war breaking out on Israel's northern frontier, against Syria and Hezbollah.

Emphasizing the radicalization of Islamic militancy, Ze'evi cited recent changes in the objectives of major militant organizations, which have recently begun targeting sites in Arab countries.

"We are seeing attacks carried out in Amman, Dahab and Sharm el-Sheikh," said Ze'evi.

He cited the increased accessibility of Internet in the Arab world as facilitating the process, saying, "Today, anyone who is interested can learn how to blow up a bomb."

Major General (Res.) Ze'evi stepped down as chief of Military Intelligence about four months ago, and was replaced by Major General Amos Yadlin

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

Well, fine. We are still talking about an “un-named official” at best. At worst this could be disinformation from the Israelis designed to let iran know there is a stick along with the EU carrot. Bye the way, I think the best part of the article you linked is the following:

**"This time Iran has clearly signaled a casus belli to Israel. When President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declares his intention to wipe Israel off the map and then goes to sea in a sieve by declaring the Holocaust never happened, it is hard to escape the conclusion he wants Israel to bomb Iran.

A religious fanatic who believes the return of the 12th imam to earth will be preceded by global death and destruction in his own lifetime, Ahmadinejad presumably sees an Israeli and/or U.S. attack against Iran closing Muslim ranks the world over against the imperialist infidels."**

Somehow the Pakistan Times author did not think that this was worth cutting and pasting.

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

I'm sure you are happy when Syria/Iran kill Israeli forces by their proxies too :), and you can keep your whining about duplicity within your limits, I just wanted to focus on one issue at a time which I understand is difficult for you.

But when Irani "nutjob" uses his freedom of speech you people cry "he is a nutjob" :p

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

Why should a "mod" explain to you ? :-|

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

Yes, when Nutjob speaks, people listen. Mostly in stunned silence at his idiocy.

Its most remarkable manifestation came with Mr Ahmadinejad’s international debut, his speech to the United Nations.
World leaders had expected a conciliatory proposal to defuse the nuclear crisis after Teheran had restarted another part of its nuclear programme in August.
Instead, they heard the president speak in apocalyptic terms of Iran struggling against an evil West that sought to promote “state terrorism”, impose “the logic of the dark ages” and divide the world into “light and dark countries”.
The speech ended with the messianic appeal to God to “hasten the emergence of your last repository, the Promised One, that perfect and pure human being, the one that will fill this world with justice and peace”.

In a video distributed by an Iranian web site in November, Mr Ahmadinejad described how one of his Iranian colleagues had claimed to have seen a glow of light around the president as he began his speech to the UN.
“I felt it myself too,” Mr Ahmadinejad recounts. "I felt that all of a sudden the atmosphere changed there. And for 27-28 minutes all the leaders did not blink…It’s not an exaggeration, because I was looking.
“They were astonished, as if a hand held them there and made them sit. It had opened their eyes and ears for the message of the Islamic Republic.”

Western officials said the real reason for any open-eyed stares from delegates was that “they couldn’t believe what they were hearing from Ahmadinejad”.

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

^^ Yeah just like Bush. Jeez what a difference

***"President Bush said to all of us: ‘I’m driven with a mission from God,’ " said Nabil Shaath, who was the Palestinian foreign minister at the time of a top-level meeting with Bush in June 2003. Mahmoud Abbas, then Palestinian prime minister and now the Palestinian Authority president, was also present for the conversation with Bush.

“God would tell me, ‘George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan.’ And I did, and then God would tell me, ‘George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq …’ And I did. And now, again, I feel God’s words coming to me, ‘Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East.’ And by God I’m gonna do it,” Shaath quotes the president as saying in the three-part series.

The two nutjobs (Bush and Nijad) are competing with each other :CareBear:

Re: Typical Israel mentality, Israel will hit Iran in next few months

Oh God. Can we get over this USA used nukes on Japan so its the most evil country on the planet. 62 million people died in world war II, 300,000 died from nuclear weapons, that is less than 0.5% of all the deathtoll that occured in world war II occured from nuclear weapons.

If you want to blame USA for killing innocent people…

What about Germany when it killed nearly 6 Million Jews and 12 million Soviet civilians…

What about Japan when it killed more than 10 million Chinese including the brutal mass murder of 400,000 people Nanking…

Isn’t it obvious. That no matter what Germany, Japan, Soviet Union, did you are always going to show solidarity with Hiroshima and Nagasaki because it shows USA in a bad light.

Get a life.
