There are some meethi chhurri, some meesna bosses.. Then there are these spineless bosses without any power.
Then there are bosses who take all the credit themselves.

I have found that handling the bosses is okay, its the suck-ups or the snitches who go behind your back so they can further themselves that have irritated me.

I have encountered bosses who appreciate and give proper credit of the effort.

Every kind from laid back to total messed up person.....
I have handled them in their own unique way. The micro manager I have handled by doing more work and the laid back by making sure I had everything covered.

Big time. I still have the desi mentality when it comes to boses.

My first ever manager fired me coz he was a hitler in disguise and I used to get so timid hearing him shout over tiniest things . He claimed it was perfectionism but I felt it was stupidity !!
Next boss I got was completely out of this world , he was the best thing that ever happened to me in my career. He lead by example, was darn focused on results and could fire you at the drop of a hat but counselled us so well before client meets that we went in winners .. He made my career for me

lolol Muqa, Whack your boss aint that easy mate .. you whack em , they whack you back and you end up jobless !
I remember one of our top performing colleagues in our company in London , got extremely drunk at a Christmas party , few years ago and while he was drink , he slapped the boss and then passed out . Next working day he was called in by the HR and was asked to tender resignation or else he will be given a boot.
He had no clue why he slapped the boss !!!

luckily, the ONLY bossan i ever had, she has been more like my mentor rather than a bossan. i did my Master's and PhD under her supervision and have been working as post doc ever since. we are very close to each other and we went to New Zealand and stayed with her for sometime before i moved to my own accommodation. i'm lucky to have such a nice lady to be my bossan. :)

Boss ka chamchay are usually more troublesome. Like I have a PM, who somehow thinks that she knows all the technical stuff and can somehow can read the mind of my boss and what he wants. She would even say ... oh when he said this then he meant that. And in my mind I am thinking ... jeez lady, are you his wife or something that you can read his mind. In short a total B*. Plus not courteous at all.
On the other hand in my last company, I had couple of PMs but all very courteous and respectful.
Top bosses are always easy to work with. At least in my experience. But I liked my boss when I use to work on campus as a student. Very respectful and use to say thank you at the end of every work day.
