Okay, lets talk about the types of Allah’s “Azaab” (Wrath) on humans. How Allah punishes those who do not obey Him…
Other question is does “Nefaaq” is one of the way by which Allah punishes humans?

Nifaaq is not a punishment. It’s a disease of heart.
It is said that the remedy of Nifaaq is Infaaq; that is to spent in the path of ALLAH:swt: from which we love.
*3:92 ***By no means shall ye attain righteousness unless ye give (freely) of that which ye love; and whatever ye give, of a truth Allah knoweth it well. **

I tried looking the two words up and here's what I could find:
Nifaaq - hypocrisy
Infaaq - spending

nifaq/hypocrisy may be a punishment as per:
"So He has, as a consequence, put hypocrisy into their hearts till the Day whereon they shall meet Him: because they broke their covenant with Allah which they had promised Him, and because they lied" (Qur'an 9:77)

My understanding is that the ayah is about a diseasse being casted (as a punishment) in the hearts, just like a hadeeth talks about casting of the disease of wahn in the hearts of Muslims due to their wrongdoings.

In any case, Nifaaq is something from which everyone of us should seek a refuge towards ALLAH:swt: and that’s what’s important. Terming it, is a petty matter at the end.
