Type/color of kaam in this dress?

Pic can be viewed only in Internet explorer due to some prob..plz click on ‘x’ below:

I’d like to know:

  1. What is color of this dress? Is it black or navy blue?

2.what is color of kaam done on the dress, is it dull gold?

2.what type of glittering studs-like thing is on duppata? Is it something in the clothes material or some type of kaam?

thanks.:flower1:

^ I would say its an ink/navy blue and the kaam on the dupatta looks as if its what the tailors in Pak call 'spray' which is when the kaam/beads are done so the effect is scattered all over the dupatta. It looks like the dupatta might have a self-print on it which is accentuated by the kaam. The kaam on the kameez does not seem dull, but a medium-ish gold. Nice colours! :)

Re: Type/color of kaam in this dress?

Thanks for your input girls :sheen:

Gaia..it does seem a bit greenish in the pic whitesea posted, but there’s a lot of yellow light, so I am guessing blue+yellow=green effect :hmmm:

Re: Type/color of kaam in this dress?

I've seen the outfit at Nomi Ansari's studio.

  1. The shirt and the dhaka pyjama are definitely deep Bottle green and the duppata is baby pink colour.

  2. The kaam on the shirt is dabka, kora and mainly in silver with some gold.

  3. The kaam on the duppata is just what they call 'chan', which is usually a spray of sequins across the duppata. It was nicely done, with alternate silver and gold sequin spray.

I think the price of this outfit was something like 150,000 PAK rps
