Two thirds of women lie about their dress size
**If you’ve recently told friends that you’re a size 10, when you’re actually a size 12, you’re not alone, according to a recent study.

A whopping 74 per cent of women have lied about their size, claiming to be one size smaller than they are, while three quarters of women have lied about their weight.
The research, surveying women in the UK, found the majority (24 per cent) to be a size 14, whilst only one in five were a size 10 or under.
But the pressure to be thin seems to be making women too embarrassed to be honest about their real size and weight.
Of the 74 per cent of women who have lied about their size and weight, over half said it was due to embarrassment.
Body concerns are a worry for 92 per cent of women, with 85 per cent saying they’d like to lose weight but only a third of them are actually exercising or eating healthier to achieve results.
Managing Director of MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, who conducted the research, said: "The fact that just 12 per cent hadn’t lied about their weight or size is indicative of just how big an issue it is to people.
“It’s also interesting to note that so many women say they’d like to lose weight, yet just a third are doing anything about it.”](“http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?pub=andmetro&v=250&source=tbx-250&tt=0&s=digg&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.metro.co.uk%2Flifestyle%2F814006-two-thirds-of-women-lie-about-their-dress-size&title=Two%20thirds%20of%20women%20lie%20about%20their%20dress%20size%20|%20Metro.co.uk&content=&lng=en")]("http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?pub=andmetro&v=250&source=tbx-250&tt=0&s=facebook&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.metro.co.uk%2Flifestyle%2F814006-two-thirds-of-women-lie-about-their-dress-size&title=Two%20thirds%20of%20women%20lie%20about%20their%20dress%20size%20|%20Metro.co.uk&content=&lng=en”)
