Two things which I don't understand aren't more popular.

In Pakistan.

Fish and Dates.

Sure fish is eaten, but for the majority it’s not really a daily thing. We have 5 rivers, and a large coast line. Yet seafood is always a secondary item in Pakistani cuisine.

Dates. They are plentiful in Sindh and Balochistan. Yet, the majority only eats them during Ramzan. There are maybe a few chutnies made from it, but that’s about it. Nothing else made using it is popular.

I use to eat dates like a pig.
dates ,almond in milk then grind it and drink it. brrrrrrrrrrrppppppppppp

Re: Two things which I don't understand aren't more popular.

Isn't it three rivers now since two are going to india per indus water treaty? :p
Even then, i doubt darya-e-sindh actually reaches sindh but that is another discussion... :D

Except karachi, we don't have many big cities on the coast line, hence the lack of a fish eating culture. But then, people in the US don't eat that much fish when you have densely populated states like california, almost the whole east coast etc.
