two questions

Salam all

i looked online to find these answers but i don’t think i’m wording the search right and i haven’t had a chance to ask the imam so if you could help me i’d be greatly obliged

  1. When one comes across sujood in the Quran, is that performed just like the sajda in namaz? Is it different if you come across it while reading as opposed to reciting and coming across it in namaz?

and

  1. If you make a mistake in namaz…extra rakat, forgot a rakat, not sure, etc…what are you supposed to do during your salat?

thanks a bunch!

Re: two questions

:salam:

as far as my knowledge goes for sujood in the Quran u just have to say Allahu Akbar & go in sujood once.
If you make a mistake in namaz you have to do sajda suhoo

Re: two questions

like dewdrops mentions^..

Forgetting one rakat of the prayer, you will have to repeat the prayer since it’s a fard. If you forget a wajib act, you have to to sajda in the last rakat after athyat say salam to the right then two sajda and then start fro athyat again finish off the prayer.

for more issues regarding forgetfulness in prayer please read this article.

The Forgetfulness Prostration

:salam:

When performing the prostrations of forgetfulness and of recitation, you should say the same as you say when you prostrate in prayer: “Subhaana Rabbiy al-A’la (Glory be to my Lord Most High).” What is obligatory is to say that once, and the least required in order to do it perfectly is to say it three times.

& Allah:subhanahu: knows best.
