Decision of India is strange. Why suspend game of the game which is on the verge of getting extinct
They regretted their mistake that should be enough to let them continue, why destroy such talents which can revive the game in India.

Most of us have forgotten. Haven't had any reason to celebrate in the recent or distant past.

Really. You must not have been following the Asian games or commonwealth games. Neither do i because i don't follow hockey but apparently in October this year they won gold medal in the Asian games final.

True but rules are rules. If it's against the rules to take off shirts in family atmosphere then it shouldn't be done. Same if Indian hockey players did taking off of shirt,
If an Indian team did that it would be wrong as well. Kohli did middle finger against Sydney crowd and he got 50% of his match fees taken off and he could have had a test match ban. He deserved that as well. Players have to act better than a jahil crowd.

There are rules. And there is discretion.

If anyone believes this step by IHF - or is FIH Or FHI - is not politically motivated, that anyone is being naive.

In a country where the super rich don't pay taxes and corruption is rampant, is this what it has come down to? Ban the players for the finals because they took their shirt off?

And what moral authority do Indians have to criticize the players behavior? The crowd represents the Indians attitude. With such boorish conduct it is better to clean ones own house

Why? Liberal mindsets listen to all views.
I am not arguing i am telling why i think this happened. The Indian hockey federation complained and then the international hockey federation responded. I think response was heavy handed but everyone has
freedom to give their views. And if Indian players did same i'd hope the Pakistani team would complain and they would get banned.
The super rich don't pay taxes in any subcontinental country and corruption is rampant in all our countries. The international committee did the ban and if it's against the rules why would the players do it? If it was routine form of celebration then I guess there would be no issue. I don't know much about hockey and i don't really care about who wins. I am just telling you what the thought process is.
Players representing their country have to act better than the crowds. I know Indian crowds are boorish and if they were offensive the Pakistani players should also complain. It does the game no good when players of either or any side act in a way against rules. If Indian players do the same they should be treated equally. Personally i don't think they should be banned but giving reasons why it happened.

Australian crowds can be really bad as well but that gives no right to Indian players to act in boorish way or for Harbajan Singh to call a player "monkey" because he was incited by crowds. Crowds are provocative and bait players but doesn't mean they fall for it. It's obvious actions on the ground by players will be highlighted with cameras more than a crowd of thousands. If there are any images of crowds making lewd images they should be punished as well. If there is evidence of any. If it was verbal the players can verbally respond.

How do you clean crowd behaviour? Have a camera monitoring each spectator with special voice technology picking up who says what in the crowd?

The crowd doesn't represent my attitude. They represent their own attitudes. Why should I take responsibility for jahil Indian crowds or Australian crowds? On the other hand the players with the shirts of their country are hopefully better educated, trained in media and PR and officially represent their countries. There is some difference between players and crowds. If an Indian hockey team acts like this on Pakistani home ground i'd hope the same rules would be followed if the Pakistani team complained.

Whether we accept or not, gora sahb accepted that India is a very very big market. Hence they will do what not to satisfy them . We shall also accept the fact or stop begging' hum India see bilateral series khelna chahtee hain

No, ban them because they showed their middle finger to the spectators. And I am all for banning Kohli or any other sportsperson who displays such obnoxious behavior. There should be a zero tolerance policy.

that's the way to do things the right way! you must be held accountable for your actions because they are supposed to be the role models for aspiring sportsmen and sportswomen. i have no sympathy whatsoever for such social menaces, be it anyone from any country!

Uncle please don't shout at me with capitals. I am already going through trauma of attacks on my city. Innocent people have died. Sports is low on my priority.

Yes i am in Sydney. I was planning to head out to the city where this is happening. Not the exact cafe but around there. Then i decided to cancel and spend time watching some pakistani dramas and exploring GS. Then i came across KKF’s thread. I didn’t even know this was happening in my city as these days i just watch Pakistani dramas on humtv. Martin Place is financial area of the city, it is near courts, TV channels and hospital as well as lot of corporate/law firm buildings. My friend, however, was working in an office 200 m away from the incident. The police had the area on lockdown and only slowly let people from surrounding buildings. People have reacted well. All friends i know and all over social media the hash tag #I](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=I) will ride with you is trending which is about supporting the Islamic community about any fears of backlash they may have.

It's not my fault at all i blame my southern location. Christmas in July and Summer in December. Whole world is ulta pulta after these last few days. Sydney ho ya Peshawar so many jaanwars posing as humans.
