Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

Assalamo alaykum wr wb,

Last Friday my mom was in a horrible car accident. Allah (SWT) saved her life and she’s slowly recovering, alhamdulillah.

At the time of accident, she was driving back home by herself. Hence, right after the accident she was in excruciating pain and bleeding a little. She was unconscious for a breif moment or two, however, smoke filling in the car made her somewhat conscious again. She only had enough strength to unbuckle the seatbelt and get out of the car.

Then came two females and upon inquiring my mom discovered the two females were not with the guy who hit her, but happened to be two Muslim sisters passing by who saw another Muslim sister in need.

The two ladies helped my mom to her feet, took her to a car and turned the heating on, as it was quite cold outside. They tried to comfort my mom that Allah (SWT) saved her life and that alhamdulillah my mom is alright.

They are the ones who called the police, my aunt, and us to get to the scene. The two of them stayed with her till we got there. All that time they were comforting my mom, telling her to read duaas, thank Allah (SWT) for saving her life and that everything will be alright.

They were non-hijabis themselves, yet they stopped by my mom (hijabi) and helped and consoled her to the best of their ability. Upon inquiring they said they’re from Afghanistan, the country many of us love to put down and ridicule.

I always try my best to always think high of other Muslims and to never look down upon them. However, the assistance they offered my mom has really touched me and has left a real impact on me. To an extent it has made me understand the true meaning of Islamic brotherhood. SubhanAllah, it’s so beautiful and amazing that it honestly cannot be put to words.

The only reason I shared this incident is to sort of encourage everyone to help out others in need, especially Muslims and that too without paying any attention to the country of origin and other such minuscule details. I know I’ve been somewhat careless in the past, however, from now on I’ll try my best to stop by and try to help those in need, insha’Allah.

May Allah (SWT) grant my mother a speedy recovery and bless the two sisters and reward them for the assistance they offered my mother when she needed it the most, ameen.

Ameen SumAmeen .. :flower1: ..

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

That's great what they did, but why mention they were non-hijabi?

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

I purposely mentioned it because here on GS, I noticed hijabis and non-hijabis don't like each other too much and have stereotypes for each other. Hence, the reason why I mentioned they were non-hijabis, yet they came and helped.

Point is... we shouldn't be in such a mind frame and should always be willing to help each other to the best of our ability.

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

I always stop to help people in need, because I know that if I were in their position I'd want anyone around to help me.

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

Ameen.

thts whts more important.. before being muslims, sikhs, hindus, christians, and others... even before colors.. we are human.. and helping another human being in need is definately a big virtue..

I hope and pray that everyone is like that caring for others.. this way there will be no fighting as going on around this world.. Ameen

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

after i took rescue, first-aid and life-saving courses from work, i carry full supplies in my car’s trunk that can save someone’s life in a winter/snow storm or summer’s heat attacks.. as a civilian not allowed to carry police equipment but carry cellfone to cover for that.. things i’ve seen and got into, require these supplies..

that was very nice sadiyah for u to share with us.. godbless everyone :k:

look on family’s face when u’ve saved someone from bleeding to death, makes up for ALL YOUR efforts sometimes :k:

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

faizy, great idea masha'Allah!

May Allah (SWT) keep us all safe and sound and grant us the taufeeq to help those in need to the best of our ability, ameen.

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

oh…ok…as long as that’s not YOUR view, that non-hijabi girls are any less compassionate and humanly :k:

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

^ It's definitely not my view and may Allah (SWT) protect us all from such horrible views. I always look up to every single Muslim (esp. sisters) that I come across. It's taqwaa that makes one greater than the other in the Sight of Allah (SWT) and only Allah (SWT) knows the secrets of our hearts. Hence, it's best to always look up to your fellow Muslims.

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

great :)

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

Im sure a good hearted nonMuslim couldve done the same. you’re "discriminating "

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

Yes, the good hearted non-Muslim driver who hit my mom was kind enough to stick around and admit that it was totally his mistake in front of the cop and everyone else. That was very nice of him, else it would've been another mess and issue at that time.

However, you totally missed the point of this thread though. The reason I posted it is because I feel many of us think Pakistan and Pakistanis are everything and often could care less about Muslims and/or non-Muslims from other countries and backgrounds. Similarly, many hijabis and non-hijabis look down upon each other.

The main intent behind this thread is that such behaviour should not prevail amongst us to begin with. Also, that we should always stop by and assist those in need to the best of our ability.

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

I dont think that is true. I have good friends who are Indian/arabs/pakistanis/african and other places too. I have friends who are hijabi…also have friends who are nonhijabi. never look down on them.

I think generally its just a natural thing for people to go help some1 in need. Majority of people would do the same in the same/similar situation. so I dont see it as a big deal. if u see it as a big deal…maybe its cuz u urself wouldnt have done the same thing in the same situation :halo:

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

^ Again you've missed the point, which is perfectly alright with me. You are entitled to your own views based on your personal experiences and I am to mine.

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

awww... how nice of them.. but as every1 said.. as muslim or as any1 it is our duty by religion and morally to help any1 hurt with out consideration of others religion..
i hope more muslims are commit to these things after wat ppl really think of us muslim around the world!

Re: Two non-Pakistani Muslims who came to the rescue

Sadiyah, this is awesome! Thanks for sharing this with us. And here's praying for your mom's speedy recovery!
